"Sure, a hand would be appreciated," Laura said, leading the way to the kitchen and trusting that he'd follow her through. It would have been rude to turn down his help after he'd offered. She laughed when he said he wouldn't ruin anything. "Have you ever seen Clint attempt to cook? Trust me you won't ruin anything and even if you did it would still get eaten in this household."
After seeing some of the things her husband had managed to do to food there was little that she'd count as an unsalvageable disaster in the kitchen.
"You're right, I've noticed that people tend to feel awkward standing around while I'm busy in the kitchen. I don't know why that is, part of human nature I guess. Funny really that people seem driven to help even when they don't necessarily know what they're doing."
