"Well, in my experience, other people are usually pretty awful," Vax said, half teasing as he shifted, moving to stand so that he could help her up. She was probably still pretty weak, but they couldn't sit here forever. "I try my best not to be like other people. A cut above, you know," He said, reaching out to offer her a hand up.
"She's not alone," Vax said, a soft reassurance in his voice as he did. He might not understand every aspect of death. No one ever really would. But he had a decent idea the sort of things that were involved with it. And even if it was a struggle for the people left behind, those that died... were eventually in a better place, wherever that might be. "It's hard to deal with for those that get left behind, but those that die... It's simpler, no pain, no suffering."
Not that Vax was sure that would help, but it still felt like it needed to be said. "And yeah. Magic. I'm still getting used to it myself... Seen plenty of other people do it. Wielding it myself, bit of a change."
