It had been quite the adjustment for Eddie here. He was well used to his job being the main anchor point of his life, and without that, he'd been... drifting just a bit. Sure, it was grounding with Barry here. He didn't feel completely at a loose end, but there was only so much that Barry and his assorted entourage could do especially when vital people from his life were missing, like Iris and Joe. But he'd managed to find enough to fill the time with that he wasn't entirely idle. One of those things had been his consistent coffee dates -- or well, beverage talks -- with Belle.
It had taken a little while for them to get through the awkward aspects of each other's realities, Eddie's with the sudden influx of superpowers and Belle's with her apparently being a real life Disney princess and living embodiment of a fairytale character, but once all of that had gotten out in the air, it had been incredibly easy to talk to her. There was something surprisingly comforting in just being normal for a period.
"Still trying to figure out what to do," Eddie said with a half smile. "It just doesn't feel right, you know, being a cop without my partner here."
