There was wet grass under Lydia's feet. It was confusing for a moment, because she was sure she hadn't been anywhere with grass. In fact, she was pretty sure she'd been watching a movie in her apartment. Then she'd zoned out and now...now she was standing in the grass. In the dark. And there was a familiar creeping chill up her spine. Quiet whispers surrounding her. And a body on the ground in front of her, a gaping hole in the chest.
She stared, still a little dazed, for a long moment, and then her mouth opened and she screamed. A banshee's cry. Any dinosaurs nearby fled at the sound, which rang through the entirety of the city.
