Where Len had an inclination towards puns, Mick had one towards nicknames. The more he used them on someone, the more adoration he had for the person. Some he used in public, some where kept private. Snowflake, was one of his more private ones, though he was pretty sure Len wouldn't have minded in the least if he used the nickname in public more often. Len practically beamed at being referred to as anything that had to do with his chilly alter ego. Mick on the other hand, just tolerated it.
Mick had known from the second he walked in the door and saw the little kitten bouncing around that it was staying. Not so much because he was so eager for the little furrball's companionship, but because he'd known his partner long enough to know when to pick his battles. Having Len go as far as to pick out the pet himself and surprise him at home with it meant he'd already put his foot down on the matter. It would be a losing fight, and Mick knew it. Plus, he had to appreciate the gesture itself, which he did. It also wasn't worth fighting against something he might actually enjoy. So all in all, the give in was pretty seamless.
Len's comment about being feisty himself had him casting the other a shameless smirk. "We?" Mick asked on reflex. Not use to hearing the term come from the other when it wasn't in reference to them. Though the second he said it he already had a pretty good guess as to who Len was referring to. He couldn't help the sinking feeling that followed after, though he didn't dwell on it for more than a moment. Instead focusing on the items Len listed off. Of course he'd been prepared. Mick almost felt dumb for asking. Len's comment about white picked fences making the arsonist glare back in response.
"If it ever came down to that, I'd let you freeze me with that gun of yours." He declared, not something he could ever see for himself. Even if he could have said the same thing for a job and a pet not too long ago. This place really was having a weird effect on him. However after coming back from Chronos, he'd felt a change in him then, but hadn't the time to figure it out. Funny, seeing as they had been on a time machine. Maybe this was just part of the new Mick, or whatever had come out the tail end of whatever the Time Master's had done to him.
