It took a second for her to register that someone had spoken to her. Wiping her eyes, she looked up and couldn't help feeling relieved that it was him. He knew her. "Oliver." She took a deep breath. "I'm...I'm okay. I just..."
She bit her lip. "Barry was attacked. He's in the hospital. I was going to call..." Shaking her head, she looked at away. "I tried to visit him and I got to the door and I just couldn't. Suddenly, I was back in the hospital...seeing my mom's face, your face, hearing I'd never walk again. Barry is one of my best friends and I couldn't even make it through the door."
It felt like she was being selfish. There were so many other people in pain and all she could think of was herself. "And I'm just...I'm so tired. My entire body feels like I haven't slept in years." Her back hurt and she just wanted something to be okay just for once.
