Mick had met the others gaze, held onto it until something he said shot through Mick like a spear. 'He saw something good in me, Mick. Nobody's ever seen that before.' The statement wasn't true, but then Mick had never made an effort to tell Len otherwise. Waiting until Len had finished speaking, even a pause or too more after that, before his voice came out low and gravelly. "I've always known there was good in you Snart. Could see it from the moment I met you." Mick told him, raising his eyes back up to meet the others. "I just thought if you ever knew it too, you wouldn't keep me around." He confessed, and to some extent that had been true. As Len began to change, he and Mick had began to drift apart. Their disagreement in future Star City, followed by Len's choice to maroon Mick had proved that. Though after everything was said and done, Mick knew he'd been wrong.
"I, I should have told you what you meant to me a long time ago." He paused, before forcing himself to continue. "What you still mean to me.." He corrected. It was still confusing to know Len was gone in his world, but here in this one. "I just..I already miss you so goddamn much." He said like the words were being pushed out of him. "I don't think I can lose you twice." Mick chocked out honestly. His breathing was heavy, but it felt as if a weight had been lifted off him. Saying how he felt to Len's face now, gave him the kind of closure that telling a shadow of his past self never would. The next words falling out of Mick's mouth before he even thought to stop them. "I love you, Lenny.."
