The flicker of light in Len's hand caught Mick's attention in an instant. Eye's zeroing in on the motion. For a split second, it was as if the entire bar seemed to fade into the background for him, even Len himself. Everything snapping back into place the second Len's thumb vanished from the striker. A slow grin spread across Mick's face as he realized what had just happened, resisting the urge to check his pocket for the missing lighter that was currently in Len's hand. Even after all those years, the other's skills never failed to amuse him. He chuckled gruffly at the others comment, never having actually thought he'd given up the habit to begin with. Though the reassurance was welcomed all the same.
Watching Len line up his next shot, Mick's expression changed at the other's following comment. His brow furrowing in confusing a moment as he tried to recall where he'd heard the name Barry before, what was so exciting about wearing a suit, and how this guy was suddenly involved in this plan of theirs. He barely noticed Len setting him up with a crap shot as a conversation from earlier that day started coming back to him. Piecing together that Barry was the name of that kid who'd confessed he was the Flash, just as Len hit him with another statement that had him taking pause.
The game momentarily forgotten as Mick just stood there, expression blank, just trying to take in what it was Len was saying. To say they were covering new territory was an understatement. Putting aside the fact for a moment that Len had just told him he was dating the Flash, the fact that his partner had just used the word dating in reference to someone was already an anomaly of it's own. Len wasn't the type to use words like that so freely, so right away Mick understood it was serious. Had he used the word fucking, or sleeping, or hell even seeing, Mick would have known how to react. That was nothing new. This however, was completely uncharted waters.
The rest of what Len said barely registered in Mick's brain as he finally moved to take his shot. Consequently missing it completely, due to Len's shitty line up or his lack of concentration, Mick didn't know. Despite them not having been 'together' in the last few months, it still wasn't easy hearing some of what Len was saying. When he caught the expectant look Len was giving him, clearly wanting him to say something, Mick snapped out of his haze. He started laughing darkly, but anyone could tell there was no humor behind it. "Wow, Lenny..even in death you don't stop surprising me." Mick let slip out, maybe a little harsher than he'd intended to. "The Flash? Really?" Mick had to question again, just to make sure he'd heard him right.
