Seeing the other's smirk was contagious, especially when Mick was sure he'd never lay eyes on it again. Despite their circumstances, it was nice to have a moment of normalcy between them, or at least what they considered normal anyway. Playing pool and drinking cheep beer was a start. Though after all that had taken place between their big blow out, Mick becoming Chronos, and Len dying...there were just some things that Mick knew would never be the same again. Some for the better, some for the worst. For the moment however, Mick didn't let his mind wander too far into those thoughts. Deciding instead to just enjoy the current reality he was in with his oldest friend. His partner. "Call'em like I see'em." Mick teased back, not liking to be referred to as old anymore than Len did, but was at least willing to face the facts. The other's death having been a bit of a wake up call to Mick's own mortality.
He watched Len rack up the balls, spinning the white ball like a top at the other end of the table as he waited to break. At Len's mention of terms, Mick's brow shot up and the corner of his lips curled as he thought of the days they use to bet each other with sexual favors. It had mostly been times when they were laying low after a big heist, and had no one left in the bar to hustle money from. However, Mick had taken that part of their partnership off the table, even after forgiving Len and rejoining the team. Dealing with Len's death had changed his stance on things, but also made things a hell of a lot more confusing seeing Len stand there before him in the flesh. His mind and his heart felt like it was being torn in two different directions. One telling him it was a fruitless endeavor, that Len would still be gone if he ever went back home. The other telling him to be selfish and take whatever part of Len he could while he can.
Instead, he went with option two. "I win, you find me something to burn." Mick answered with a gleam in his eye. "And I don't just mean bonfire status." Mick quickly clarified, bending down to line up his shot. His obsession to burn things wasn't as much of a sickness as it once had been, but that didn't mean the desire wasn't still there. "You win, I help you steal something pretty..and expensive." Mick grinned, sending a loud crack echoing through the bar as he broke the triangle of balls Len had set up."Or do you not steal anymore now that you got your official Hero badge?" Mick asked mockingly as he stood back up, watching as he sunk a solid colored ball in one of the pockets. He took two more shots, sinking another in before missing.
