And there was that touch of remorse that made him a little less trigger happy. Not that he was likely to be any less snide with the Captain in the future but if it meant the former time master would be a little less concerned with what he and Barry were doing behind closed doors he could probably be less inclined to point his gun toward him in the near future. Barry hardly needed to be coddled, but he did deserve a little more respect and consideration where his personal feelings were concerned. Not just from Rip, as far as Len could tell, but he was the only one in Len's sights at the moment.
"Oh, I'll attend to the situation alright.." He raised a brow, posture still pretty uncompromising. "And if by attempt to be more reasonable later you mean apologize. Then sure. Give it a try, Rip. He might even accept it." Len wasn't one for apologies himself, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to suggest it to others. More often than not he'd rather swallow dirt than apologize but for someone like Barry, who saw the good in others, and seemed to be pretty forgiving, Len figured it would go a long way. Once everyone had time to cool off of course.
He didn't bother saying anything more than that. If Rip had anything more to say he'd have to follow, otherwise Len was confident he'd know how to show himself out. Len had other priorities. Like his wayward Speedster in the bedroom, which was exactly where he headed.
The temptation to fold himself around Barry in such a vulnerable position was there, but Len resisted at first, leaning up against the doorway where Barry could see him. He knew quite a bit about having a troubled head. Racing thoughts and insecurities. He was old enough now that he knew how to quell some of those thoughts but he also remembered what it was like to be in such a negative headspace. Sometimes he didn't want to talk, didn't even want to be touched. And while he didn't imagine Barry was quite the same he still wasn't going to enter Barry's space until he was sure the contact was welcome.
"Knock knock, Scarlet," he cocked his head a little. "Captain Asshole should be making his exit right now. Told him you prefer your captain's cold."
