The thing Rip hated in this moment was that Snart had a point. The fact that wherever they were was isolated within an undefined pocket universe was likely protecting the timeline from any anomalies that it might have suffered from due to their actions. More so, that his words had likely been... out of line. It was very easy for him to forget that the people he knew as legends, as historical archetypes, had been people at one time. People who reacted to things irrationally, emotionally, who were hurt by the slightest misstep or poor word choice, who needed to be... given considerations that he might not have otherwise afforded anyone else he would encounter within the timestream.
He'd already suffered enough fallout from getting excessively attached to people and places. He'd been trying to keep that from happening again, but... given the situation, it might have done some good to... stop trying.
"I was... maybe a little out of line," Rip said, a vague regret tinging the words. "In the moment wasn't supposed to imply over all, but I can see how it would have come off like that. Perhaps... You should attend to the situation. I can always... attempt to be more reasonable myself later."
