Len didn't bother to stifle his aggravation. He sighed, and ran a hand over his face before he even considered saying something. His first impulse would have been unkind, and while Rip didn't necessarily deserve his kindness at the moment he could also recognize when someone was lacking in people skills. Not that Len himself was much better but he was at least passable. It was sort of necessary, when your primary occupation relied on deception and manipulation. But maybe the time masters were just shitty at people skills after being so far removed from other people for so long. Whatever the case, he was past the point of caring.
"Don't think there's anything to fix right now, Rip." He settled that icy stare on the captain but didn't go so far as to threaten him with bodily harm this time. Barry maybe wasn't a fighter by trade but Len was willing to bet a punch from the Speedster was a half-decent message without his own follow up.
"You just told the kid how he chooses to be happy isn't as important as what's supposed to happen. And that standing up for what he wants is being 'unreasonable'. What did you expect? Not a good move. I'm not a stellar example of humanity, but I try not to be unnecessarily cruel. Maybe this is just your bad people skills at work, but you need to let the dust settle before you try and fix anything again," Len crossed his arms over his chest and nodded his head towards the apartment door again.
"I get that I probably don't deserve Barry Allen. But it's his choice, as much as it is mine. Neither of us get to make that for him. And seeing as we're stuck in some, what? Pocket reality? Maybe that's a bigger threat to the precious timeline than which of us decide to sleep together." It sounded crass, coming out that way. He knew that. And it was more than that for Len but from Rip's perspective he figured that was all he was seeing anyway. No sense arguing semantics. That was a conversation he clearly needed to have with Barry and no one else.
