Barry's hand in his was odd but not unwelcome. He was still getting used to it. All the reassurance and contact based in something positive for once. Some of what Barry was talking about he couldn't quite thread together. He knew a lot more of Barry's story but obviously they'd have to sit down and really go over it sometime. Time travel and lost friends and potential alternate timelines. All that. Somehow despite it and his own questionable life choices they were still here. Together. And that was honestly the only significant part of the story he could be bothered to care about at the moment. As a general rule Len wasn't a sentimentalist but he could make an exception for Barry. Maybe. At least occasionally.
At least Rip seemed to be pulling back. Which was good, because Len's trigger finger was still kind of twitchy and he never did do well with that kind of condecending tone. Reminded him a little bit of Lewis without the physical violence. And those kind of reminders never put Len in the best of moods but for the sake of getting Rip out of the apartment, he could keep his cool.
"Always nice to chat, Rip. Be seeing you. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Or do. We'll try to be more understanding next time you swing by uninvited." He wasn't normally one for heat but his eyes were definitely making a valiant attempt to burn holes in the Captain's back. Leonard could appreciate that maybe Rip's grooming as a Time Master made him less inclined to be sympathetic about life choices which were a threat to the status quo. He just didn't care.
