who: Peter Petrelli and Gabriel Gray.
what: Reuniting.
where: Outside.
when: February 24.
warning: Mind control and PTSD.
status: In progress.
Peter woke up in a stark white room, head aching from the sedative that Esposito had forced him to take. This wasn't Greenland. Or, at least, he didn't think it was Greenland. He'd never actually been to Greenland before, so it was hard to say. Maybe this was just what rooms in Greenland looked like. There was a smart phone on the bedside table, and looking at it made his stomach drop. February 24. That was two months later than he expected. He'd gone to get Claire on Christmas Eve, shitty timing sure but he hadn't wanted to delay. For it to be February...Renautus must have been lying about letting him leave. It was the only explanation that made sense. Fuck. Gabriel was going to be pissed. Once he got over being out of his mind with worry. Did the movement even know he was alive? What was Renautus planning? How had they kept him out for so long? None of this made any sense, and everything about it left him feeling shaken. It was bad enough, remembering what Esposito had done to him, and he still felt like throwing up just thinking about that violation, but this was a lot to take. The door opened and Peter reacted without thinking, pocketing the smart phone and jumping to his feet ready to fight. Suddenly, he wasn't himself. Or he wasn't in himself. But he was walking out of the room and outside and suddenly it hit him what he'd done. Oh god. He had Esposito's ability. And he'd used it on someone. Being a victim of the ability was bad enough. Using it on someone else? He started panicking, and the person's body started panicking and it was overwhelming and terrifying and he wanted it to stop. Just like that, he was himself again, looking at the person in horror. "Oh god," he breathed. "Oh god, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to...I'm so, so sorry." He ran off, not really thinking about where he was going, coming to a stop next to some bushes, where he immediately lost the contents of his stomach. There was a bench nearby and he collapsed onto it, hands shaking as he stared blankly ahead, trying to process everything. |
