To say what transpired over the network hadn't surprised Iris would be a lie. She took the chance to tease Barry, having had no inclination that he had any genuine feelings for the criminal who had repeatedly outsmarted him. Barry's previous small rants about his irritation over that fact back home never really pointed her in the direction of a possible crush forming. So when he moved the online conversation to private and asked her if she would support him in pursuing Snart, Iris had been a little taken aback. But to her surprise, she felt no spark of jealousy. However, she did feel a slight hint of worry.
Heading down the hall to their apartment Iris wondered if having Snart as a new addition to their relationship would help or potentially hurt Barry. Without his speed or ability to walk, Iris could see how difficult becoming accustomed to life in a wheelchair was for him. She wanted nothing more for him to be happy and for this new thing to work, she had to know where Snart stood in all of this. If things went sideways and Barry got hurt, then they would have a huge problem on their hands. Well, Snart specifically. Iris wasn't bluffing about that punch to the face.
Opening the front door, Iris called out for Barry as she placed her bag and keys on the book shelf next to the entrance. She was in the middle of taking her shoes off as she walked before she caught sight of the scene in the kitchen. She froze with one shoe in her hand with the other still on her other foot, eyes wide in surprise at the proximity of the two men.
"Hey...Barry." She paused, gazing going back and forth between him and Snart. "Should I come back later?" The tension in the room was definitely not violent, she could tell. Nope, she come immediately tell Barry had jumped in with both feet--figuratively of course--into pursuing Snart. And if they're closest was any sign of the ex-criminal's feelings, he was also interested in Barry.
