WELCOME PARTY
MUSIC DOES YOUR CHARACTER CONTRIBUTE MUSIC? FIND/SET UP THE SOUND SYSTEM? SING? PLAY AN INSTRUMENT? THERE'S A SECTION FOR THAT.
ETC. YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO. GET IN THE COMMENTS! 5/5 INTERACTIONS COUNT AS AC, SO MAKE SOME LINES!
IT'S A PARTY! With the influx of so many new residents, both to Derleth and the Void, Glinda decided to throw a small celebration so people could get to know each other. It’s nothing too extravagant and there’s no specific dress code. Wouldn’t want anyone to feel out of place! But Glinda, with the help of some of the others who have been at Derleth a while, did add some special touches to give everyone a sense of hope. See? Not everything in the Void is doom and gloom! Twinkling lights, sparkling decorations, the scent of summer flowers, and best of all—no cannibals, scavengers, or cloud monsters!
Prompts CONTRIBUTIONS
What did you bring to the party? Was it something you found on campus, or did you go out into the Void to find something special? Remember the idea is not to use precious reserves for this event, but to be creative.

STYLE
Did you dress for a party or come as you are? Either is fine. You want to set up a pinterest board for your characters Junkyard fashion choices, link to a few pictures, or just write a description, you absolutely can. No AC cost if their clothing for the night comes from Derleath's theater costume department and is returned later.

DANCE FLOOR
There's a modest pavillion set up on The Green with a sign that says, "only dancing beyond this point." Looks like someone set up an enchantment to encourage dancing on it, even if you're the sort of person that normally wouldn't. Kinda annoying that the dance floor takes up the most open space and some may be tempted to try and cut across it...

CHALLENGE
Which character gets the most unique social interactions in this IC/OOC event? Count them up at the end and see who comes home with the most bragging rights. Who knows, maybe this is the start of a beautiful friendship?
EVENT STARTS SATURDAY EVENING & THROUGH THE NIGHT. WHO'S STILL PARTYING BY MORNING?

LOKI
[info]lokivariant
2025-02-22 07:07 pm UTC (link)
Loki helped Glinda set up the decorations and the pavilion. He’s also responsible for the temporary nighttime sky above the Green. It’s an illusion that simulates a beautiful evening sky, complete with twinkling—and the occasional shooting—stars. In Glinda’s honor some of the stars have a pinkish hue to them. As long as Loki is at the party, the illusion will remain. Feel free to thank him for the romantic vibes! Or call him a show off. That’s OK, too!

(Want to see a specific constellation or planetary body in the sky to make you feel more at home? Ask him nicely and he might comply!)

LOGAN
[info]worstlogan
2025-02-22 07:15 pm UTC (link)
As Glinda's dear friend, Logan did feel an annoying obligation to do something for this thing.

So he went out into the Void. To the Manhattan ruins, specifically, and...

Listen, Logan doesn't know about parties that people have. He wants to get drunk and pass out and that's a Logan party. But cake, that's a party thing, right?

So, Little Debbie's and Hostess cakes. Cartons of them. He piled them up on a table for snacks. They're not fresh but they're not gonna kill anybody either.

He also found a pool table somewhere and dragged it as far as the Green. It's got one ball and one stick. Perhaps there will be an upcoming quest to find more pool balls.

MONTY
[info]un_familiar
2025-02-22 07:22 pm UTC (link)
Monty is too small and weak to be very good at scavenging anything new to bring and he isn't good at very much but he's got heart, which he used to help set up anything that needed help. If it needed a little effort put into it, Monty was there to assist, happily.

George does not want to go to a party.

But George has seized control of the kitchen, so if anyone found anything to bring to the party that involved cooking he probably had a few tips for them.

CLARK
[info]houseofel
2025-02-22 07:28 pm UTC (link)
Clark didn’t have much to offer in the way of contributions, but he did come up with an idea to help people get to know each other. He gathered some sheets of printer paper he found in Armitage Hall and cut them up into little cards. Then he set the cards on a table on the edge of the Green.

On the table is a little handwritten sign that says CONVERSATION STARTERS.

Each card has a statement or question on it meant to initiate conversation with a stranger. A ‘get to know’ each other ice breaker, so to speak!

Pick a CARD and get to know your new neighbors!

He found an old Twister game and brought it out.

LUCY
[info]thatsme
2025-02-22 08:34 pm UTC (link)
Lucy found some supplies in one of the buildings on campus and showed up early to build a DIY photo booth, with some little sign props and things depending on what kinds of art supplies and such that she found. She doesn't have a camera, but figures most people can take their own with phones?

She probably tried to recruit Lockwood (and others?) to help her set it up!

2025-02-26 12:16 am UTC (link)
Lyra is incredibly side-eye-y about the party... and parties in general, really, what exactly is the POINT of them, anyway? Most of the parties she's been to in her life have been more like formal academic dinners, so she isn't really sure what the protocol is. Still, curiosity won the day. Even Pan was interested to see what it was all about and perched on her shoulder/around her neck. She brought a case of soda in weird discontinued flavors.

[info]guhlinda

Glinda was obviously there to host and organize and help direct to make sure everyone's contributions got used.

Eliot brought some alcohol, all vodka based. Sus. Not a lot but ... where'd you get that vodka, Eliot?

Yelena showed up. She's the contribution because she's fun.

Wally similarly showed up as the contribution because he's a ghost.

Eddie did his best to assist others and get a list going of what people needed and tried to look for it in advance.

If there’s one thing Loki knows how to do, it’s dress for a shindig. Thankfully he has the ability to glamour his clothing. Which is how he managed to look very put together in this chic green, slim-fitting suit with a black shirt and tie.

CLARK
[info]houseofel
2025-02-22 07:19 pm UTC (link)
Clark was actually very nervous about what to wear to the party. Originally he was going to wear one of the Derleth shirts that were found, but this was a special event. And Glinda worked so hard to make it happen! He really wanted her to feel like it was a success. So he washed and brushed off the baggy gray suit and maroon-colored tie he’d been wearing when he arrived in the Void. He had to patch up one of the knees with a piece of scrap blue fabric because the slacks had torn, but it was at least presentable. And hopefully party-worthy.

SPOCK
[info]logicdefies
2025-02-22 08:01 pm UTC (link)
About an hour into the party, Spock and Sylvie will arrive in Derleth together after having trekked the Void for some time. [Log Forthcoming!]

Spock will be wearing his Starfleet uniform, which he had on him in Chicken Legs, but it’s dirty and torn in some places. The side of his face is smeared in dried green blood and he has a strip of Sylvie’s cloak wrapped around his head, putting pressure against a pretty nasty gash near his temple. He’s also pushing a shopping cart full of stuff that landed in the Void with him, including the tri-dimensional chess set he had commissioned in Mamom and his Pokéball.

He looks like he’s about to pass out. Feel free to offer him medical attention. Or get him a drink.

Steve grabbed a bright yellow Derleth sweatshirt, cut it into a crop top because he's from the 80s, and is unironically wearing it.

His hair is impeccable, of course.

TEXAS

2025-02-22 09:35 pm UTC (link)
Texas doesn't have a lot of clothes, but she's been working on it, so today she wore pinstripe shorts, a red button-up and a tie which passes for her party outfit well enough.

[info]hereagain
2025-02-22 09:46 pm UTC (link)
Charles went a little more cozy punk with his outfit today. Ghosts can only wear ghost clothes (items that are/were with a person as they passed), and he and Edwin have a somewhat decent collection they've collected over the years.

HARLEY
[info]extraharley
2025-02-23 03:52 am UTC (link)
Harley would have gone in her normal getup, but then she found a uniform in the theater and a wig reminiscent of the pink one she once wore and all bets were off. She's adopted a completely fake and terrible accent that makes zero sense, but she'll only keep that up for the first six minutes until she forgets she was doing it.

Sylvie
[info]ragevariant
2025-02-23 03:57 am UTC (link)
Sylvie arrived about an hour or so into the party with Spock [forthcoming log v soon]. She is in her usual attire though it's pretty banged up and dusty from crash landing into the Void. Those who knew her in Chicken Legs would be able to recognize her pretty easily since she was typically in that same outfit unless she changed for situational outings. The bottom of her cloak is torn from where she ripped a piece off to help Spock temporarily patch up his head wound. She might be seen holding her side when she thinks no one is looking.
