When Sam had suggested, through Liv, that Baxter take his sister on a date, Baxter's initial reaction had been to wonder whether that would be weird. He'd been on a date with Sam's ex, though, and that had been fine, even if it hadn't lead to anything, so he'd agreed with no more intense nerves than when he'd met Ginny. Also on Sam's advice, Baxter had found somewhere moderately fancy that served afternoon tea - though, since Amelia had to work, it was technically more of an early evening tea, and from what Baxter understood of the menu, the beverage itself was more alcoholic than might be considered traditional. That was fine, he had friends he could stay with in London so he didn't have to drive home after having a drink. Since she could apparate and he couldn't, Baxter had agreed to meet Amelia outside the restaurant. This time, Amelia being Sam's sister, he'd been able to provide a recent photograph, and so Baxter had no trouble identifying her when she approached. After his conversation with her on the journals, he felt less nervous than he had about meeting Ginny, who'd really been a total stranger.
"Amelia?" he asked, even though he knew it was her. "It's nice to meet you in person." Baxter had wanted to find a photograph of the star - the one that had been taken on Amelia's birthday - but apparently it hadn't been transferred to digital medium yet, and thus was nowhere to be found on the internet. So, Baxter supposed, he was going to have to rely on actual conversation to make a good first impression. "I hope you like this place," he said, gesturing at the restaurant. "It's based on a book, about a character who travels the whole world in only eighty days, so the decoration has a lot of things from different countries, and influences from the 1800s." Baxter paused, and then added, "I suppose travelling the world in 80 days isn't that impressive, if you're a wizard, but that shouldn't detract from the food." It wasn't, truthfully, that impressive nowadays for a muggle, but wizards still had the edge with their instant methods of travel. "Have you been abroad much?"
