The WI visit to the production of Into the Forbidden Forest had gone very well. They had chosen the matinee because tickets were cheaper, plus those who tended to have evening commitments would still be able to make them after the performance. Most of the other women seemed to enjoy the performance, and while Narcissa could definitely see that the production was amateur the quality was high.
She had arranged to meet Miles back at the Manor, knowing that he too had attended the performance. It was a little bit of a thrill, knowing that her friends were at the same performance as her lover who she'd be meeting almost straight afterwards. She didn't particularly feel ashamed of what she was doing with Miles, and mostly considered it a fun arrangement born from the fact they got on well, but she was also aware it was a little outside the norm.
As the group were saying their goodbyes in the reception area Laura, the social secretary, pointed out the dish of free sweet samples available and several people took one, Narcissa included. The boiled sweet was decorated with a tiny skeleton imprint. Clearly someone had bought Halloween themed sweets early for the centre, and she could hardly begrudge them that. She popped the sweet in her mouth as she was leaving, before apparating back to near the gates of the Manor to meet Miles.
Together they walked up the path, chatting about a variety of topics, including the play. As much as there were moments when Narcissa wanted to (and indeed had) just rip his clothes off, she appreciated the fact that they could still enjoy each others' company before or after sex too.
They had chatted some more over a drink before going up to her room as the light was beginning to fade slightly. She had been thoroughly distracted by their activities, and rather focused on looking at Miles rather than herself; so when she got up after a few minutes of extremely sated exhaustion to clean herself up a little and caught sight of herself in the mirror she gasped.
"Miles?" she asked, looking over at the man, who had his eyes closed. "Is it just me, or can you also see the glowing?" It was fully dark now and although the lights in the room had lit it was a relatively gentle glow and she could still see, emanating through her skin, a sort of glowing. She had no idea where it was coming from.
