I'm try to decide whether it's worth the effort to join, even though I probably will in the end, a lifetime paid account for only a $10 donation is very tempting. I read it in a comment here. Early Adopters & User Info Style Poll
On Monday January 14, 2008 early adopter accounts will come to an end. All new accounts will be changed to Free Users.

Also on Monday we'll be closing up the user info style poll.

We also added a multi-icon uploader to our downloads page under the Mac section.

So for those of you that were thinking about creating an account there you might want to get a move on it.

With GJ being made of total poo because of recent and passed events what LJ/clone site is everyone migrating to?

Insane journal is a given but many new users do not like the layout and think that IJ won't be able to handle the mass migration of new users.

Livejournal is another but people don't seem to like what's going on with SUP and all the changes that being being planned. (I did some poking around and read that if you post/talk about something you did that's perfectly legal in the US and not in Russia you can be subjected to extradition to Russia to face charges, wtf!)


But yes what other journals is everyone jumping to?

I was wondering does anyone have an updated LJ-clone list? I have a couple of friends that wish to migrate from GreatestJournal to other journaling sites but all the ones I know about they already know about.

I noticed that no one mentioned Bravenet ... http://www.bravenet.com/webtools/journal/ .. it's free, very customizable, and there are really cool features, especially if you want to pay. It also tracks your visitors, gives you a guestbook and tagboard for free.=)
