Four hours of paperwork up in literal smoke. I guess the new trainee Knight didn't realize my office was so close. I suppose I should thank the resident keeper of grounds. Otherwise, I'd likely be up in flames too.

I understand that people are frustrated and that they feel they have little choice but to express it in both physical and violent methods. Frustration breeds anger, anger does breed contempt and from there it becomes a slope you can't recover from. We must not give in to these feelings of contempt and begin acting in a manner that is less than we are.
Arrests were made not because of blood status or social status but due to placing themselves and others in danger among breaking the law and inciting a riot. There is nothing wrong with a peaceful protest. I will never turn a blind eye to the needs of the people. But when you force my hand into action with breaking into our holding cells, I will uphold the law. That law, right, wrong or indifferent is what holds us together as a people.
Please, in the future, if you wish to discuss anything see my undersecretary. They will make time on my schedule.

What good is all the protesting doing? It doesn't seem like the crown honestly gives a hippogriff's arse about anybody other than themselves, which is how it has been, the normal basically.
So what can you do if you're not being heard? Continue being thrown into cells to silence your voice? It seems rather pointless.
