"I said a ghost, you freak," she said with a laugh, sitting down on his bed. She reached out to pet Lycoris, and then decided it probably was not the best idea, since both cats seemed ready to swipe at someone at any second.
Narcissa frowned and tapped Dinah on the nose to scold her. It did not do much, though, as instead the cat scratched her. Having Dinah for a pet left Narcissa immune to such things, but it still stung.
"Oh hell," she muttered, lifting up her hand to see if it was bleeding. It wasn't.
She picked-up Lycoris so that she could lay back and rest her head on the pillow. The kitten let out a little 'mew', but the Narcissa set her down on her stomach, and Lycoris curled back up.
"I don't like the house elves here. They leave us starving after hours."
