James looked at her as if she had lost her mind as he pulled back his hand as if it was on fire, and then raised a brow and was about to say something obnoxious when he saw the tear rolling down her cheek. The last thing that he wanted was see Lily hurting. "Can't do what exactly, be my friend?" He asked softly.
"The necklace was meant for you. Meeting you? Isn't that what friends do? And as for the oblivious part? Actually, I probably am. I've been blindsided so many times these past few weeks, I'm starting to realize that I'm not as swift as I thought."
