Who: Severus Snape and Rabastan Lestrange
When: Backdated, Friday, June 11, 1980
Where: Austria
What: Severus plays the hero...
Rating: PG-13 for blood?
The human body was an amazing thing, really. You could exsanguinate in a matter of minutes. Severus was rather hoping that all of the blood on Rabastan's journal wasn't coming from a cut carotid or femoral artery; he was hoping it was mostly surface damage to be completely honest. Once he had the coordinates, he quickly packed a medical kit and steeled himself from the most dangerous attempt at apparation he'd ever had. Coordinates. Coordinates weren't usually enough to get one to a location. One needed to be able to form a mental image of where one was going. This was a shot in the dark, really.
He had to take the trip in jumps - from Scotland to England, England to France, France to Austria - followed by several smaller leaps to try to pinpoint Rabastan. He was just lucky he found the man when he did as he'd nearly exhausted his magical energy.
There was... so much blood and for a moment, Severus had to force the urge to be sick down. He needed to focus. Step one was to stop the flow blood, step two was to replenish the blood, step three was to treat any other injuries. He hesitated a moment, hands shaking as peeled open Rabastan's robes. He was a decent healer - nowhere near as skilled as Poppy or the St. Mungo's mediwitches - and some of these gashes would cause scars. He figured Rabastan would not care about scars so long as he was alive.
It took long minutes and exhausting work for the bleeding to stop... and then Severus had to get the blood replenshing potion in him. He tilted Rabastan's head back and gave the man two doses, hoping none of the potion went into his lungs. The last thing either of them needed was for Rabastan to get a lung infection.
