Happy birthday! I have no doubt that you've been making the most of it thus far - you seem to have a talent for such things. I'm never very good at picking out gifts, but hopefully what I've sent will prove useful to you.
We're long overdue for lunch, by the way. Your stopping by the office now and then hardly counts (especially when we both know you're probably more interested in seeing my apprentice). Let me know when you'd like to go out, I'll buy and we'll call it a birthday lunch.
