"Huh." Theodore made a non-committal noise at that and frowned. "You could have waited." He probably wouldn't have but that was beside the point. Additionally, he was quite pleased to learn that his protective spell had worked so well. Still, that didn't explain the attitude and quite frankly, he was in no mood to inquire. He'd been willing to be civil – as civil as he was capable of being, anyway – and being pushed was not something Theodore's ego accepted lightly. His own infamous Italian temper flaring, the young man raised his chin defiantly and turned around to face Susan.
"Will we be having a problem?" He asked in a carefully controlled voice. "Because in that case I would kindly ask you to leave. I can handle this on my own." Which was rather far from the truth. He could handle this on his own – if he didn't eat, sleep or rest for the coming weeks but Theodore's pride was too wounded to allow him to admit that.
