Who: Suguru and Hiro When: New Year's Eve What: Get-together at Hiro's place Rating: NC-17 Status: Complete
It was New Year's eve, and, as expected, Hiro was home alone in his little apartment by himself. He expected Suguru to stop by at some point, so he picked up a few bottles of alcohol and stuff to make daiquiris with, just in case Suguru couldn't handle the harder stuff right off the bat. He'd already had a couple of beers and was listening to some New Year's broadcast on the tv in the other room as he stood in the kitchen slicing strawberries
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Outside was a very cold-looking keyboardist, shifting a little to try and warm up. He had a long, cozy-looking double-breasted coat and a scarf and gloves, yet his nose was still bright red. His eyes were slightly red-rimmed, and all in all he suceeded in looking very battered by the harsh weather.
Hiro looked up when he heard the knock and went to answer, appearing to be very cheery. "Hey. I was beginning to wonder if you'd gotten lost. Come in," He stepped aside, looking the keyboardist over with a frown. "You don't look so hot. Can I get you anything?"
"Something warm..." Suguru answered after nodding his hello when the other had greeted him. He slipped off his shoes, scarf and gloves, but felt hesitant about removing the jacket.
"I think I've got come cocoa or something.. it's instant if you don't mind. I think I've still got some coffee here somewhere." He moved back to the kitchen to scrounge through his cabinets for something he could warm up. "You look like hell. Is it really that bad outside?"
"I walked the entire way," Suguru grumbled, sitting down in the kitchen. "I didn't notice I'd passed the subway until I was too far to benefit by walking back."
"Jesus.. I'm sorry.. You coulda called me.." he frowned and hurried to throw some hot water on the stove. "I think I've got some blankets or something. You should take off that jacket; it looks soaked." He left the water to boil while he hurried over to pull a heavy blanket from his linen closet
Suguru reluctantly obeyed, going back to the entry to hang it up. "I figured it would be a good time to think. Work on my New Years resolutions," Suguru smirked.
"New Year's resolutions?" he asked, blinking and handing over the blanket. "You've decided on what you're going to do?"
Suguru shook his head, pulling the blanket around himself. "Not yet..."
"Ah. So you didn't come up with anything then." He chuckled softly and nodded. "that's fine. maybe it'll come to you while you're sleeping." He nodded back toward the rest of the apartment. "Well, This is my humble little apartment. Nothing special. There's a bathroom, a kitchen, some closets... but that's really about it."
"I like it. It's perfect for one person," Suguru replied, sitting back down. Everything would be fine now, he was with his bandmate. It was almost like being at work! Well, not really.
"It's not too shabby. They keep the place kept up, no one really bothers me, it's safe. That's really all I ask for." He smiled a bit and went back into the kitchen to get Suguru's mug ready. "You want anything in it? I've got some vanilla vodka or some rum to put in it."
"Okay," the other agreed, a little too easily. "Whatever will taste better."
"Some alcohol might help you warm up, anyway." Or at least make him feel warmer. And that was part of the point, right? he measured out a shot of vodka and put it in the mug before filling it with water and cocoa mix and bringing it over to him. "ta dah. Drink up. It's new year's. Supposed to be a fun time, right?"
Suguru offered a small smile and nodded, taking a heavy drink of the hot chocolate, choking slightly, returning to it in a much more careful manner.
Hiro sat down and laughed at him with a smile. "Careful. might be a little strong." He chuckled and shook his head and getting a better look at him. His eyes were red. "you okay..? Have you been.. crying?"
"W-what?" Suguru tried to smile a bit more. "What are you talking about? W-what gave you that idea?"
"Your eyes are red." he frowned a little and cocked his head. He wasn't denying it. "Did.. something happen?"
"It's nothing," Suguru mumbled, taking another drink of his hot chocolate. "Really. Let's just enjoy New Years..."
"mmh.. all right. if you say so." He gave a little smile and nodded. "How's the drink?"
"It's good. A little strong," he offered that same slight smile, taking another sip. He wasn't really the type to drink, so it was having a heavy effect - only half done, and he was already calming down.
"Warmin' you up at least." He laughed and got up to finish with the strawberries. "Anything else I can get you? I've got some chips, pretzels.. more booze."
Suguru blushed, shaking his head. "No, this is fine. Sorry for showing up so long before the actual New Year... what will we do for this long..?"
The other shrugged, "drink, talk. I can show you how to play guitar if you want." He offered, dropping some strawberries into the blender. "I can put some music on if it'll help you relax"
"I'm not- I... don't need to.... relax...." Suguru tried to argue, but just shook his head, returning to his hot chocolate. He was a terrible liar.
"Uh-huh. Sure. You're tense. I can practically smell it. Are you nervous?" He looked back toward Suguru at the table, "being at someone's apartment who's practically a stranger, getting drunk on new year's with no way home til morning?"
Suguru gave him a very flat look. "I've known you for years, Nakano-kun, and I am not getting drunk."
"Not yet." He said with a laugh. "I don't want you throwing up, but getting a little drunk's not bad. I mean, you're old enough, you need to relax, it's a special occasion, you're in trustworthy company. What's the problem?"
"You're the one who seems to want to insist there is a problem," Suguru sighed softly.
"What, you don't think you need to relax?" He chuckled and shrugged a shoulder, "I'd like to see you loosened up a bit. chatty, excited, jubilant, even. Come on, it's a new year. Time to start things over and make a change, you know? Make something different"
"Oh, don't worry, Nakano-san, there will be plenty of changes this New Year," Suguru mumbled, finishing off his drink.
"Like what?" he asked, curious. maybe he had figured out his new year's resolution?
"Like... I'm finding somewhere else to live," he replied, pulling the blanket closer. Parts of him were still cold, though the alcohol had helped.
"You're moving out?" He smiled. "That's great, Fujisaki! What made you decide this?"
Suguru looked up at him and sighed. Why not..? "Because I was kicked out," he replied flatly.
His smile fell flat to the floor. "..holy shit." he abandoned his mixture at the blender and moved over to sit back down. "I had no idea. I'm so sorry... Can.. I ask what happened? I mean.. Is there anything I can do to help?
Suguru held tight to the blanket, trying to keep himself collected as usual. "I told them I was coming over here for New Years. My... father doesn't want me spending time with you two outside of work... said some inconsiderate things about Shindou-san. And... I don't know why, but I stood up for him. Said some things I never meant to say to my father. He said I was ungrateful, told me to get out. Mother... never said anything at all," he frowned, staring down at his lap.
"Shit, Fujisaki... I'm.. I'm sorry." This was all his fault... He looked down, feeling a stone of guilt drop into his stomach. "Um.. thanks.. for sticking up for Shuichi. But why? You could have called me and told me you couldn't make it. I would have understood."
Suguru offered him a sad smile. "I wanted to come," he paused, considering. "Do you... think I could have something else to drink before we talk about this any more?"
"Oh. yeah. sure." He got up and took the mug, "I've got the beginnings of a strawberry daiquiri in the blender. .. That sound good?" He asked with a sad smile of his own.
"I guess. I've never had one," Suguru replied, trying very hard not to be a downer. After all, he'd fought so hard to be able to come.
"It's fruity. I think you'll like it." He offered his own little way of trying to bring up the mood. After all.. this was new year's.. He stood at the blender for a minute and mixed the drink, pouring them into glasses and even topping them with whipped cream. Maybe he should have been a bartender. When he set them down, he smiled down at his bandmate, "might be a little strong, so take it slow, ok?"
"I learned my lesson with the hot cocoa," Suguru replied with a miniscule laugh.
"well maybe this'll soothe the burns." He sat down and sipped at his drink. "You haven't found a place yet, have you?" he asked, "I mean.. this just happened, right?"
"Right," Suguru replied with a slight frown, taking a sip of the daquiri. "This is good. Anyway, I don't know why they'd kick me out, now they have no-one to house-sit," the teen said bitterly.
"That should be the least of your worries.." he said, sighing. "Well... if you'd like, you can stay here until we find you a place. I mean.. I'm not going to just abandon you when you need help." Besides, this was essentially his fault...
Suguru blushed. "It's... not necessary, Nakano-kun. I could always ask Tohma-san..." he took another sip fo his drink, blushing slightly.
"Well I feel like I should do something. After all.. it's basically my fault." He found himself a little embarrassed and looked away from him,
"What? It is not," Suguru looked perplexed. "Because you invited me over?"
"And you felt like you had to come.." He frowned, "I feel badly.. I'm sorry." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before sipping at his drink again. "You wanted to see me, so you got kicked out. I'm really, really sorry, Fujisaki.."
"I didn't feel like I had to! If only you could understand the absurdity of your statement, Nakano-kun," Suguru shook his head, taking a good drink. "They don't let me go anywhere or do anything. They never did. I once had a friend in cram school that I snuck away with after class, and they told his parents that they would call the police if he ever spoke to me again."
"Why would they do that?" he asked, "Do they not want you to have any friends? It doesn't make sense." He sighed and scratched his head. "Are they afraid you're going to get hurt or do something illegal?"
"They want me to be... successful. Things like friends are unimportant if they cannot do anything for me," he replied with a shake of his head.
"Sure they are. How can you expect to make connections if you don't talk to anyone? Communication is the biggest part of success, isn't it?" That seemed completely backward to him."
"The friend I had chosen back then... was not influential enough to matter," Suguru shook his head. "They are very judgemental of who I choose.. and frankly, they think you and Shindou-kun are both queer, which my father does not approve of. They still hate Tohma-san for putting me in this band."
He made a face at the accusation. "they think I'm queer?" He asked, "Hey, I like plenty of women, okay?" He said with a laugh, "Are they always judgemental for no reason?" Hiro laughed at the absurdity and shook his head. Besides, he was more... open-minded.. no one wanted to limit their options, right?
"They're very successful people, Nakano-kun. And I suppose my father made his success by behaving in such a way. It just doesn't work for me.." he shook his head.
"Because you're.. I don't know, sane?" He set his glass down and rested his cheek on his hand, "Your family's got issues, Fujisaki. You're smart to get away from that while you can"
"I suppose," Suguru shook his head. It still troubled him. Where should he go from here?
He frowned when he noticed that he still hadn't quite cheered up. "seriously though, Fujisaki... if you need a place to stay, my door is open"
"I might... take you up on that. Tonight, at least. I don't think Tohma-san would be terribly happy with the fact that I plan on drinking tonight," Suguru laughed just a tiny bit.
"Probably not. he does seem like that would bother him." He chuckled and watched him, "I wouldn't want you going back out there anyway. The weather's awful."
Suguru nodded a little bit, seeming to start to look less gloomy, though things still weighed heavily on his mind.
"Don't worry, Fujisaki, I won't let anything happen to you." He took a drink and nodded, "I know how to take responsibility for what I've done."
"Please don't say things like that, Nakano-san. I'm sure that if the only thing that had been said was that I was going whether he wanted me to or not, I would not have been kicked out."
"Well.. all right. But still. I'm not just going to leave you hanging. You need anything, anything at all, you let me know. Got it?"
"Yeah," Suguru nodded, taking another drink. "I appreciate your kindness, Nakano-kun. I won't take advantage."
"What makes you think you'd be taking advantage?" he asked, "I offered, didn't I?"
Suguru just fell silent, nodding a little bit but turning his attention to his drink. He wasn't sure if this was the best or worst New Year ever. Probably both.
Hiro smiled over at him, nodding happily. He felt pretty good so far, starting to feel a little lightheaded. "anything I can do for you?"
Suguru shook his head. "Thank you for the blanket. I'm warming up.."
"Good. I don't need you getting sick on me. That wouldn't be much fun." He thought for a minute and sat back. "You thinking you want to get up to watch the sunrise?" He asked, not sure how traditional Suguru really was.
"Well, It only happens once a year..." Suguru replied with a slight shrug. "The sunrise on the New Year, that is," he finished off his drink, starting to feel pleasantly numb but still surprisingly cogniscent. "We could."
"sounds good." He got up and moved over to set his alarm. "what do you think you want to dream about tonight?"
"What do you mean?" Suguru asked, tilting his head to one side.
"You know first dream of the year. Supposed to be prophetic or something. I don't know, I never believed in that sort of thing. Just trying to make conversation"
"Oh, that," Suguru laughed softly. "I don't know. I'll just wait and see, I suppose..."
He laughed a bit and moved to sit back down. "So your parents are success-driven, right? But they hate Seguchi? I mean, he's the one who put you in this spot and helped make you successful. Why would they hate him for that?"
"It's not the kind of success they want, I suppose, or so they say, but they love to show off my skills at parties..." He shook his head. "I think they're jealous of him."
"Jealous? Of him? What for? He's not exactly the type to wave it around in peoples' faces. I mean.. he seems at least a little more humble than that"
"It doesn't matter what he does, Nakano-san. They'll never be as successful as him. Of course they'd be jealous."
"What do they do? I mean.. I always just pictured them to be well-to-do as it is. If they can afford to have you at home like that, anyway.."
"Well, Mother really doesn't work. She just follows my Father around on business trips," Suguru replied with a shrug, pushing his empty glass away a bit. "My father works for a hotel chain. He travels to set up new hotels, and leaves once they're on their feet."
His eyebrows lifted. "Damn. Hotels?" no wonder he thought Suguru was loaded. "Must've been pretty sweet growing up"
"I suppose," he smirked. "If you like being alone a lot."
He frowned at that, "well.. I guess there is that... But you at least had like.. a maid or a nanny or something around, right?"
"Of course, until I was twelve I had a nanny," Suguru replied, standing up. "Let's sit on your couch."
"It's more comfortable anyway." He got up slowly, feeling the effects of the alcohol starting to get to him.
"What else do you have to drink?" Suguru asked over his shoulder, having a seat with the blanket wrapped around him.
"I was going to get some water. You want some or would you like a shot of something else? I've got rum, Vanilla Vodka, some jager, beer. I think there's still some daiquiri left in the blender"
"Um... I don't know..?" Suguru laughed softly. "Rum. I've never tried any."
"be warned, it's strong." He stepped over to the kitchen to set up some shot glasses, getting a glass of water for himself and downing it with ease before bringing over the two little glasses, handing one to Suguru. "what should we toast to?"
"To the New Year, clearly," Suguru smirked. "How long is it again, until midnight?"
he looked over to the clock, "a good three hours or so." He smiled and raised his glass, "To the new year." He said before throwing it back
Suguru did so before shaking his head. "No, it was way before midnight when I started out. I know it was before midnight when I got here. I know it was..."
"Maybe I'm reading that wrong?" He squinted. "Oh... it's not even nine yet." He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. "What time did you start out?"
"Seven-ish," Suguru smiled slightly, settling into the corner with the blanket. Everything was significantly better now. Was it the alcohol? He hadn't had much, right? That wasn't that much...
"You made pretty good time for having missed the subway." he laughed and put an arm over the back of the couch. "Have you told Seguchi you got kicked out yet?"
"No..." Suguru shook his head, then looked a little confused. "But wait, it's almost nine, how long have I been here?"
"bout half an hour, I think." He thought. Had it been that long? yeah.. that sounded about right.
"So... it... took an hour to get here..." Suguru laughed, shaking his head. "I'm never missing the subway again.."
"Good idea. Can't have you freezing out in the snow." he laughed and thought for a moment. ".. I'm going to get the liquor. seems silly to have to keep getting up." And he got off his butt to do just that
Suguru nodded, resting his eyes and pulling the blanket close. Parts of him were still cold, but he didn't really care anymore...
Hiro set the bottles down on the coffee table and smiled down at Suguru who looked about as snug as a bug in his blanket. Almost cuddly, actually. Almost. He grabbed the bottle of vodka and unscrewed it, taking a swig straight from it and offering it over to his sleepy bandmate
Suguru opened his eyes, making a face. "I'm not drinking straight from that."
"I guess you're a little too civil, huh?" He reached for Suguru's shotglass and poured him a glass, handing it over
Suguru accepted that, trying to down it in one drink as he did the first. "See, that's much better," he laughed softly.
"doesn't get it done quite as well," he said, with a laugh, pouring him another glass. "it's not so bad, is it?"
"No, It's nice... and warm," he replied with a slight nod, starting to feel a little lightheaded.
"I thought you'd like that." He chuckled and took another drink from the bottle. He was feeling pretty good.. he set the bottle down, figuring he'd have to slow down to be able to enjoy the rest of the night. "So.. you gonna tell him?"
"Tell him what? Tell who?" Suguru laughed, holding out his empty glass.
"Seguchi. About your situation." He took it and filled it once more, holding it out for him
"Ah, nope. Well.. yes, I suppose I should, shouldn't I?" he shook his head, taking another shot of rum. It wasn't as good as the daquiri or hot chocolate, but it was still warm. He liked the hot chocolate the best.
Hiro actually watched him with a laugh. "Damn. you're really putting it away, aren't you. I'm impressed
"Yeah? I thought this was normal for drinking... is it?" Suguru tilted his head to one side.
"I guess so. you're just so small.. It's kind of impressive." he laughed. "just wait til it kicks in and try to walk around. it'll hit you like a brick."
Suguru laughed softly. "I'm too sensible to be drunk, Nakano-kun," he smiled, handing back the glass.
"If you say so." He took the glass, "You want to try something else?" He asked, picking up another bottle. "jager, maybe?"
"What is is?" Suguru asked, letting the blanket fall around him a bit less tightly.
"It's a little sweet. You might like it." He poured him a shot of it and handed it over, watching him
"What kind of alcohol is it?" he asked, looking into the glass suspiciously.
"I think it's just a liqueur...not really a type like schnapps or gin or anything. It's just.. kinda its own thing."
"Oh. Okay..." Suguru nodded a little, drinking it in one good swallow. "Y-yeah... that wasn't too bad," he offered a slightly triumphant smile.
"before you know it you'll be a connoisseur." He laughed. "You make good faces, too"
"What?" Suguru shook his head. "No, I doubt that."
"If you say so." he pulled back a bit of hair and tucked it behind his ear, "how're you feeling?"
"Fine," Suguru replied, laughing softly. "A lot better actually."
"You seem like it. A little more relaxed, at least. That's a plus." he smiled "You don't feel sick or anything yet do you?"
"No," Suguru shook his head. "I'm fine," he replied, handing his glass back to the other.
he took it and filled it with another shot of jager. "might wanna slow down a bit if you wanna make it to midnight."
"Oh, okay," Suguru laughed, taking that one down and then setting the glass on the floor next to the couch. "Sure, I'll wait a while,"
"You're not as much of a lightweight as I thought though. A couple shots and I figured you'd be down for the count." He laughed, "but you've surprised me. Congratulations"
"I told you, Nakano-kun, I'm strong-willed," Suguru laughed softly, leaning in a little bit more. "So how long until the New Year now?"
"You certainly are," he said softly and looked over at the clock. "It's about nine." he shrugged and took a deep drink of the jager
"No. It's been longer than fifteen minutes, Nakano-san. I think you should stop drinking," Suguru laughed, shaking his head.
"Maybe," he laughed and set the bottle down. "Maybe I should... Why don't you read the clock then, genius."
With an exaggerated sigh, Suguru turned around to see the clock. "See? It's ten thirty. Wait, no. That's nine thirty. Stupid analog clocks..."
"Now who's the drunk?" He asked with a laugh, "Okay so it's nine thirty. big whoop. Do you want a trophy for proving me wrong?"
"No, next time you can just look at the minute hand, too, genius," Suguru half-teased.
he stuck his tongue out and laughed. "You know this isn't so bad, you and me here like this. Could be fun staying together for a while"
"Yeah... might be fun, if you can put up with me," Suguru laughed. "And I can cook. I'm useful."
"You can? Well that's good. because I usually get take out or make something dumb like fried rice. Nothing special." He smiled, "I'm sure it'll be fine"
"Well I'm not great but I know the basics. Enough to live alone, you know?" he shrugged.
"Well at least you won't starve." He smiled softly at him and nodded. "if we move some stuff around, we might even have room for your synth in here."
"Really? You think we could?" Suguru seemed to brighten at the idea.
"mmhm. It shouldn't be too much of an issue.. I'm not sure how big it is or anything but like I said, we can shift some stuff around and make room."
"Thank you, Nakano-kun," he smiled softly.
"I do what I can. Remember. We're friends now." He winked at him playfully and went back to the bottle of vodka "So there's no turning back now. Got it?"
"All right. I suppose that was sort of a given, huh?" Suguru laughed again, really seeming to feel better, though it was likely the alcohol.
"I guess so." he laughed along with him, "so you've never really had any friends, right? Does that mean you've never dated anyone?"
"What?" Suguru blushed deeply. "Of course I haven't. I haven't had the time."
"You're nineteen and you've never been on a date? Seriously?" He actually laughed. "Holy shit, dude, we've gotta get you laid this year"
"W-w-what?" The other stuttered. "I... I..." he shook his head. "I don't know."
"why not? just find you someone for a night of meaningless sex. No strings attached. It'll be good for you"
"I'm not that kind of person," Suguru mumbled, shaking his head more.
"I guess so.. but still. At least set you up on a date at some point. Wouldn't that be nice? Find a boyfriend or something?"
"Like what? you said you like guys. Unless you want to find a girl. It's entirely up to you. I don't mind being your wingman."
Very red, Suguru deflated. "When did I say that..?"
"when we had coffee. you don't remember?" he frowned "When I was harassing you about being a virgin"
Suguru groaned, burying his face in his hands. "Yes, I suppose I do, now.... great... I'm just telling everyone, aren't I..?"
"Or maybe it's a testament to how much you trust me or something. I don't know." He laughed and took a drink from the bottle in his hand. "Why're you so embarrassed?"
"Nakano-kun, it's not something to be proud of, in my family..." Suguru replied softly, feeling a little dizzy as he lifted his head.
"You think any family wants their son to like guys?" he asked with a shrug, "You just.. kinda have to go with it I guess. you're a big boy. you can make your own decisions."
Suguru didn't respond, simply revelling in feeling of being tipsy. It was nice. It gave him an excuse not to respond.
"Be glad I'm not more drunk than I am.. I'd take you out right now and find you someone." He laughed and set his bottle down, suddenly feeling heavy everywhere. it was nice.. warm, comfortable
He shook his head. "I don't want someone, Nakano-san," he replied, leaning against the back of the couch.
"You don't?" he asked, frowning. "No one at all?"
"I don't want anyone I don't know," Suguru shook his head, closing his eyes for a moment. It was strange, the room was spinning a bit.
"You're worried about it getting out..?" He asked, frowning. "I guess that's understandable.. but still.. Well.. okay.. we'll take you to a bar...we'll introduce you to someone.. you date, and then you fall in love and have a happy ending, right?"
Suguru shook his head. "I don't trust strangers."
"Oh.. well.. I guess that'd do it then, huh?" he laughed a bit and gave a pleasant groan. "do you like being single?"
"I don't know. I've never not been single, so I don't have a comparison," Suguru replied, letting himself lay back against the arm, laughing softly. "It's kind of odd, isn't it?"
"I guess so... but.. it really is nice to have someone to curl up to at night. someone to keep you warm and happy."
"I wouldn't know," Suguru replied, resting his eyes again. It was kind of fun, the spinning feeling. Just enough loss of control without really losing much of it at all.
He lifted his head and looked over at him with a smile. He really did look much better now. "I'm gonna get some chips. something to absorb this alcohol." He got up, taking a moment to steady himself before wobbling his way to the kitchen and looking through the cabinet and grabbing the chips and pretzels. "You need anything?
"No," the other called back softly. "I'm having fun like this.."
"well be careful you don't have too much fun," He called back, maybe a little too loudly, but hey, he was drunk. Volume control was unheard of. "I don't need to clean your sick up off the floor tomorrow"
Suguru scowled. "I'm fine. I'm not going to be sick."
"Not yet anyway." He flopped down on the couch and laughed, the sensation feeling weird and oddly fun. He turned his attention to the tv and the party they were taping, "looks like they're havin' fun out there. No cold for me, thank you"
"I'm just glad we didn't have to do a concert this year," Suguru replied, opening his eyes and looking over to the other.
"Oh god I know." He laughed, "I was kinda praying that K wouldn't decide to pull us out for a surprise concert. Looks like we're in the clear for now. Though.. I'm sure if he really wanted to, he could find us.." he shivered, not liking the thought of that at all
"Mm, yes, except it would be a fairly horrible idea," Suguru laughed.
"Especially with us drunk like this.." he chuckled, "it'd just make an ass of us, right? Right?"
"I wouldn't go on," Suguru shook his head a little bit.
"Neither would I.. but hell, Shuichi could probably handle a show by himself." he laughed, "But then he'd just stand up there the whole time crying about how he couldn't be with his Yuki on New Year's to kiss him at midnight or something"
"It would be a disaster..." Suguru groaned at the thought. He was beginning to feel like the other was much too far away, but he fought the thought to get closer, as it was foreign and he was unsure of it.
Hiro really didn't want to think about it any more and stuffed a couple chips in his mouth and closing his eyes, enjoying the swaying sensation. "You warmed up..?"
"Mostly, I suppose..." Suguru replied. "I just... sort of... want to lie down... I have the strangest urge to curl up under a pile of blankets," he added with and odd smile
"You're under a blanket. It's snuggly." he laughed. "That's fun to say. You feel sleepy already, too?"
"Not really sleepy," Suguru just smiled. "I'm not sure how to describe it, really.."
he chuckled a bit, "well it doesn't seem that bad so.. I wouldn't complain." he set the bag aside and got up to find his guitar. Music always passed the time
"We still have an hour... I think.." Suguru sighed. They probably shouldn't have started drinking so early...
"shit.. is it really eleven already? Where the hell has the time gone?" He sat back down with his guitar and looked at the clock. It seemed that time really was getting the best of them. "Weird..." he laughed softly and settled the instrument in his lap, playing a few soft chords of one of the songs they were working on, pausing every now and again to tighten the strings.
Suguru sighed softly. It was both comforting to be reminded of work, and irritating. On any normal day, he would have struck up a conversation about the arrangement, but tonight..
Tonight was just about relaxation. and honestly, playing helped him relax. Playing anything, really was the point.. it was just the most familiar in his foggy mind at the moment. he hummed along with it softly for a moment before looking over at him and smiling, deciding to actually play something simpler, a children's song. just for fun.
"And people say I never put down the synth..." Suguru grumbled softly, but offered the other half a smile.
"well it's not as easy to pick up, I guess," he said with a laugh. "Any requests?"
Suguru shook his head, resting it against the armrest again shortly after. "Whatever."
"Don't fall asleep on me now," Hiro reminded him, prodding him gently. He thought for a moment and settled on a song from The Beatles. Nowhere Man, to be exact, playing along easily and slowly
"If you play that, I definitely will," Suguru mumbled.
he laughed at him and nodded, "fine, fine." He stopped that song and instead switched over to play "Help!" instead, something a little more upbeat at least.
Suguru sighed, leaning over the other, and putting his hand on the other's hand that was on the neck of his guitar. "Hiro, stop. We play enough at work. Let's just... Relax."
He chuckled softly and nodded, setting it aside, "ah. I see. you don't like my playing. That's fine."
"Oh, no, one of the finest guitarists in Japan and I just can't stand it," Suguru smiled, slowly realizing how close he was. He blushed but did not move. "It's New Years. Let's do something different."
"fair enough. I knew I invited you over for a reason." He laughed, "did you have an idea? We could play 'i've never'. But that might be too easy"
"I've never?" Suguru asked, sitting back just a little. "What's that?"
"It's a drinking game. one person says something they've never done. if you've done that thing, you take a shot." He chuckled, "It can get pretty embarrassing"
"Well, sure. I'd like to know more about you," suguru smiled, picking up his empty shot glass.
he raised an eyebrow at him and laughed, plucking up his glass too and the bottle of rum, setting it between them. "All right then. This ought to be interesting." He laughed and filled their glasses. "Okay.. I've never.. hm.." this was going to be hard, "gotten a bad haircut" better start innocent
Suguru took a shot. "My parents used to make me cut my hair short until I was fourteen."
he laughed and reached out to muss Suguru's hair. "looks like it stuck. Unless it was shorter than this." He smiled at him. "Your turn"
"Are you saying I have a bad haircut?" Suguru smirked. "It was shorter than this. I've never gotten a grade lower than A minus."
"damn, Fujisaki." He laughed and took a shot. "I got a C in civics back in high school. needless to say, I wasn't supposed to grow up to be a government employee"
"I see, I'm dissappointed in you," Suguru winked, joking. "Your turn."
he rolled his eyes and filled their glasses back up, "Fine then. I've never masturbated at work"
"At work!? Who would do that?" Suguru asked, blushing.
"You'd be surprised." he chuckled. "you haven't? well that's good I guess. good to keep the equipment clean."
Suguru turned a very dark red, picking up the shot glass and pouring a shot. "The bathroom should hardly count. I swear if Shindou and Eiri ever did it anywhere near my keyboard..."
"Ha! I knew it! You little pervert." He grinned at him "What if Someone had walked in? or was that part of the point?
"What? How did you..?" Suguru turned red. "It had been a VERY long time..."
"It just seems like something you'd do." He shrugged and settled against the couch. "Your turn"
Suguru fairly pouted. "Fine, I've never masturbated with a friend."
that shut him up. Without a word, he threw back a shot and poured them each another. Yeah. this wasn't exactly going like he planned
"That seemed like something you would do," Suguru smirked triumphantly.
"asshole.." he grumbled. "I've never hit on a coworker"
"That's not true, Shindou counts," Suguru pouted.
"pft. fine. I've never... I've never..." it was getting hard to think.. "owned... a dog"
"Me either," Suguru shook his head. "I've never had sex."
"Now you're just making low blows," he grumbled, throwing back his shot, "Not exactly something to be proud of either. I've never lived in a house with a yard"
"Well, mine's got a small one," Suguru shook his head, taking a shot. "So I suppose that counts."
"really?" He tilted his head a bit, "I was picturing a huge yard for some reason"
"Most of the space is taken up by the house," Suguru laughed a little. "Just enough room outside to sit in the spring and study among the flowers and allergens," he joked.
"must be a big house." he laughed and let his head fall back, enjoying the swaying spinning feeling that was flowing through him. "I am... really not sober right now.. "
"Me either," Suguru replied, taking the other in fully, looking at him for a moment. "We'll just have to make sure not to take anything we say too seriously..."
He lolled his head over to look at him and blinked lazily, "What d'ya mean?" He leaned close to him and looked at him clsoer up. "I don't think you know what yer sayin' anymore."
"I think you're less sober than I am, Hiro," Suguru smirked.
"Me? No way." he sat back and looked at him with a smirk. "I've never been a ninteen-year-old virgin"
Suguru frowned. "Fine," he refilled his shot glass and took his drink.
he smirked and put his feet up on the coffee table. "See? I can play dirty too"
"Well, fine, I've french kissed anyone," Suguru replied with a halfhearted glare.
ooh. things were getting heated now. He poured himself a shot and took it. he was gonna be hurting in the morning, but he really didn't care at the moment. "Again... not somethin' to be proud of." he laughed a bit, "I've never been called a fag"
"I could change that," Suguru replied offhandedly, taking a shot. "I've never... been to Tokyo Disneyland."
"What? Seriously? You haven't? what's wrong with you, Fujisaki?" He proudly took another shot. "oh man we've.. weve gotta take you sometime. it's great. there's.. there's rides and stuff! You'd have a blast"
"I've never really done anything like that, so I'm not sure if I would like it," Suguru shrugged.
"It's such a rush. ah man.. how can you go through life like that?" he shook his head and placed a hand on Suguru's shoulder, pulling him close. "We've got... a lot and I mean a LOT of work to do on you this year"
"Maybe you're right," Suguru nodded a little bit. "There are plenty of things I could do to begin to change, I'm sure."
"And this whole gettin' kicked out thing? it'll help you, too. It'll kick you in the ass to get things started. You've gotta... you've gotta live, Fujisaki! you know?"
"You're very drunk," Suguru replied flatly.
"And you... are.. not drunk enough." He smiled and poured them some more alcohol. "not nearly"
"Oh, I'm fairly tipsy, but I have self control," Suguru laughed softly.
"you've had like... 6 shots in the past... what... hour? plus what was in what I made you.. how the hell are you not falling all over your ass?" he asked, a little annoyed.
"I told you, I have self control," Suguru laughed. "Hiro, I went to work once with an ear infection and my equalibrium was so messed up it felt weird to stand up, and nobody noticed. That's just how good I am."
he laughed and sat back "You're weird..." He lifted his little glass, looking at it with some level of interest, as if admiring the contents and wearing a half-hearted little smile. "I've... never had someone to kiss at new year's," He mumbled, though it was unclear whether he was still playing the game or just offering up conversation. "that sad?"
"Not really, me either," Suguru replied, glancing to the clock. "It's almost time, though..."
"Shit.. is it really? God.. where has the time gone..?" He laughed softly and took his shot, reaching over to set the glass down and dig out his cigarettes. "Wouldn't it be wild if we both just kissed each other instead?"
"Well, Nakano-kun, I was planning on something like that, really.." Suguru pushed the hand with the cigarette away, leaning in to kiss the other.
"Wait wha-" he didn't have much time to question before his younger bandmate moved in for the kill. How... unusually forward of him.. But it wasn't bad at least. His lips were soft and he smelled nice at least. Besides.. it was a special occasion.. right? He didn't really need much convincing in his highly inebriated state to kiss him back, placing a hand on his shoulder to draw him closer.
Suguru crawled over the other to get a better trajectory, kissing back sweetly, experimenting, his inhibitions gone far too many drinks ago.
Hiro was sure that somewhere out in the room he heard cheering or something from the tv but.. he really didn't seem to care all that much. His hand moved to the back of Suguru's head and the other to his waist, suddenly eager to keep the boy there
Suguru made a small, pleased noise, pulling back slightly when he found himself out of breath. "Hiro, it's midnight," he whispered, grinning.
oh yeah. breathing. that seemed like a good thing to do. "Y-yeah?" he asked, glancing over to the clock. Sure enough... He gave a little smile and nodded. "Happy New Year, Fujisaki"
"Happy New Year, Hiro," Suguru smiled a little bit, leaning in to kiss him once more. He liked this. Way too much.
Hiro didn't seem to disagree with the motion and eagerly kissed him back. He wasn't sure if he was being taken advantage of or no but.. at the moment? it didn't matter. It was an enjoyable experience that he really didn't seem to want to end at any point in the near future
Suguru closed his eyes, relaxing into the other's arms. It was perfect. Now he could cross a few things off his I never list...
Hiro sighed softly into the kiss and groaned. Despite this being his first time... Suguru wasn't half bad. Maybe he did a lot of 'research' in his free time. Who knew? Hiro didn't. when Suguru settled against him, he discovered a slight problem. He pulled back from the kiss and looked down between them. "Huh.. that's weird... I'm getting hard" stupid drunk hiro
Suguru blushed. "You don't say things like that, Hiro..." he replied sheepishly.
"I know... I just.. thought it was weird, that's all.." He gave a stupid little grin, "usually doesn't happen when I drink..
"Oh, is it supposed to?" He asked curiously, having never really been in that position.
"Some people it does." He laughed, "some guys can't do anything with it when they drink. somethin' about the blood.. I dunno.."
"Oh. Well, if I do... that's ... probably why," Suguru replied, leaning back in.
"You're really enjoying this, aren't you?" He teased, giving him gentle little kisses and brushing his fingers against his cheek.
"So are you," Suguru replied cheekily, resting his arms casually around the other's neck.
"touche.." he pulled his lips back and kissed at his chin for a moment before moving to explore his neck
"A-ah... Hiro..." Suguru whispered softly, his neck being a very sensitive place. He was definitely getting aroused... he hadn't expected the other to be so willing... but, he was drunk...
"Hn?" He asked, glancing up at him as he kissed over to his ear. He placed both hands on his slender hips and let his thumbs peek into the waist of his pants
His shoulders drooping slightly, Suguru gasped, his eyes closed once more. "That.... feels good..."
"here?" he asked, nuzzling just under his ear and kissing behind it. "Are you sure you're not just overstimulated?" he bit down lightly on his earlobe and sucked at it carefully
Suguru shivered, leaning in a little more. "Aa-ah, no.. I'm sure... I'm sensitive there..."
"really? you like it, then?" He pulled back a bit and gently blew into his ear before resuming kissing at his neck. His hands moved along the waist of his pants, behind Suguru, until his palms rested against Suguru's backside
And for certain, the guitarist was no longer the only one that was hard. Suguru groaned, resting his forehead on the other's shoulder. "Hiro... this... I wasn't... I wasn't..." he trailed off, forgetting entirely what he'd meant to say.
so much for composure and self-control. "hm?" he sat back to look at him, a coy little smile on his face. "you don't wanna? that what you're sayin'?"
"No.. I just... wasn't meaning... to go this far..." he admitted in a small whisper.
"But you planned it anyway. You are.. a little devil." He laughed and let his hands fall to the couch and watched him, finding suguru's behavior hilarious
Suguru pulled back a little bit, his cheeks very red as he looked the other over. "Well, I... it was after a couple drinks that I started to make plans.."
"Uh huh. And why should I believe you?" he asked, a wide smirk on his face
"Because you know me, Hiro," Suguru laughed softly, still not realizing his use of the other's first name several times now.
Hiro noticed though, "You're even using my name. You are getting affectionate now, aren't you?" He laughed and leaned over to tease his neck with kisses again
"Just because I have self control doesn't mean I'm not still very drunk," Suguru replied with a small laugh.
"You are indeed very drunk. And giggly." he chuckled and lightly bit into his skin just under his jawline
Suguru gasped. "Aah, a-and you sound like.. you're sobering up a little.."
"I'm just... thinkin' about what I'm sayin'.. that's all." He bit down on Suguru's collar and tugged at it. "what if i'd hit you instead of kissin' you back?"
"Would've went to Tohma-san's, probably," Suguru replied with another laugh, though this one sounded a little bit nervous.
"In this weather? drunk?" he laughed, "You'd have froze.." he pulled back and looked back at him. "Like some hobo"
"I came here..." Suguru reminded him with a frown.
"You weren't drunk when you came here though.. I made you like that." He paused. "So I guess it's my fault?"
"Maybe," He smiled. "Is that such a bad thing?"
he laughed softly. "I dunno.. you tell me."
"I don't think so... but if we go much futher... I don't know if I'll be able to say no..." Suguru admitted, resting his head on the other's shoulder again.
he swallowed and sighed, having what must have been a rational thought "It'd... prolly get weird.." he admitted, looking away from him "at work.. and livin' here and stuff.."
"If we..? But... we're mature adults..." Suguru said, regretting having said anything.
he looked up at him, blinking. "you.. really mean that?"
"Yes... I do," Suguru replied with a slight shrug.
Hiro laughed softly and shrugged as well. "I guess.. if you say so." He wrapped his arms back around him and moved in to kiss him once more, slow and deep
Suguru sighed, almostly clearly of relief. He could deal with unnecessary feelings later. Right now, he could be close to the other.
It wasn't until right about then that Hiro realized just how lonesome he really must have been.. After all.. he'd invited Suguru here, gotten him drunk, and now was doing... all this. Just so he wouldn't have to be alone on a holiday. It was a little pathetic, he thought, but wasn't about to say anything. His hands moved slowly up Suguru's back, moving clumsily under his shirt to pull it up
For Suguru, it was another matter entirely. He'd made just the right decisions to have enough courage to do exactly what he was doing.
Hiro pulled his mouth back and watched his hands as they brought Suguru's shirt up his chest. He was a little skinny but... he looked good. almost effeminate. it was kinda cute, actually.. He smiled and bent his head down to kiss at his chest
Suguru gasped softly, closing his eyes once more. What was he getting himself into? Did he... really care?
While one hand held the shirt in place, the other moved down to cup him between the legs through his pants. he really had gotten hard... well at least Hiro didn't feel silly being the only one now..
Suguru stiffened automatically, his back straightening up. "Hi-Hiro..!" he exclaimed, not expecting the contact.
he blinked and looked up at him, frowning. "is that.. you don't like that?" he asked. He was drunk and with a virgin. he had no idea what was even going on half the time..
"No, that's not it..." he whispered softly. "No, I just wasn't... expecting..."
"so it's okay?" he really wanted to make sure.. he reached his hand back up and lightly ground his palm against him, just to test him
"Aah, yess... please," Suguru groaned softly, his hands pulling back, grasping the other's shoulders.
well he didn't need any more reassurance, that was for sure. he smiled up at Suguru and let his hand undo his pants and slip in to fondle him from in there.
Suguru's grip on the other's shoulders tightened again and he groaned, biting his lip to keep himself quiet. He'd never felt anything like this before... it was a good thing.
He moved his lips across Suguru's chest, licking at his cute, pink little nipple for a moment before sucking gently at it, his fingers keeping a good grip around him. "heh.. I did this to you?" he teased
"Must be... the drinking..." Suguru half-joked, his voice breathy.
"jerk.." He lightly bit down on the bit of flesh his mouth had been playing with and pulled the pants from Suguru's hips with a sudden show of force
Suguru cried out. "Ah, Hiro, you know I'm kidding! Come on, you made me hard.... you... did I make you..?"
"I think so..." he said, looking down to his own apparent erection making itself noticed through his jeans. "why? you wanna see it?"
Suguru smirked. "Who's the pervert now?" he giggled again, kissing the side of the other's lips.
"you are.. yer the one who wants to see it. Perv." He kissed him back and nudged his chin up with his nose so he could get to his neck. "still not an answer.."
"I thought you just answered it for yourself," the other replied with another small laugh, tilting his head to one side.
"You're a brat" He smirked and nodded, kissing up to his ear while his hands let go of Suguru to fumble with his own pants until he managed to pull them open and awkwardly shift out of them
Suguru looked down discreetly, appraising the other somewhat. The guitarist was longer... he debated touching it.
Without even saying anything, Hiro grabbed Suguru's hips and gently guided him to sit down in his lap before reaching back to grope Suguru's backside. He was busy, and therefore letting Suguru do whatever he wanted
Suguru brushed his fingertips over the other's erection, experimenting. He'd never done this before...
"Little more.." he said softly against his ear, "Like this." He moved one hand to take firm hold of Suguru's erection and stroke it, "Just.. think of how you like to do it to your own.."
Suguru gasped, obeying the other's directions, wrapping his hands tentatively around the other's member, moving slowly.
Hiro gave a little gasp followed by a groan, nodding. "Good... like that.." He licked at his ear and smiled. "Like it?"
"Y-yes..." Suguru gasped, trying to take steadying breaths. He was losing control...
"Good.. I like yours too." It was cute, really. not bad at all. Perfect for someone like Suguru, he figured. He pulled back and smiled at him, watching him work both of his hands over his length and giving occasional soft groans. "I think.. it likes you.."
"G-good. I... should... hope so..." Suguru gasped, closing his eyes, feeling his way through the motions.
Hiro bit his lip and watched the younger of the two gasp and moan in pleasure as he guided Surugu's hands to take both lengths. "It feels.. nice, doesn't it?" he asked, leaning over to brush his lips with Surugu's neck, placing one hand over Suguru's to help him.
Suguru hissed, leaning forward. "Y-yes.... I don't... I... Hiro... I think I'm going to come..."
he nodded, feeling his own flushed face bring forth steady sweat. "I... M-Me too..Ah!" He gripped Suguru's hand and bit gently into his neck to keep himself from being too loud. Even as drunk as he was he seemed to have some concept of volume control
With a shiver running straight up his spine, Suguru leaned over, his head on the other's shoulder, almost crying as he came hard into their hands, making an effort to keep his hand moving for the other.
Hiro gasped, feeling the other's length twitch against his own. He whined softly before he actually yelled out, coming into Suguru's grip, his own failing dismally. As he finished, he panted heavily, his head swimming as he realized just how drunk he was. He fell heavily back against the couch, eyes closed as he fought the spinning, sinking sensation he was feeling.
Suguru wrapped his arms partially around the other, feeling too weak to get up... or move much at all. His eyes close and his shaking, which was quite violent after coming so hard, began to dissipate, as he calmed into a strange sort of feeling.
After several moments later, Hiro fought the heaviness of his eyelids just enough to gaze over at Suguru "You look... worn out.."
"Me..?" the other's voice came out in a hoarse, exausted whisper. "No,... I'm fine..."
he gave a weak little chuckle. "You... suck at lying.." he blurted out and gave a little moan. "nnh.. happy new year, Fujisaki.."
"Happy New Year, Hiro..." Suguru mumbled, finding himself falling asleep on the other's lap.
"hey... hey..." He mumbled, gently shaking the other. "don't... fall asleep here..." not that he minded the other sleeping on him, he just... didn't think the couch was a good place to do it. "Nnh.. bed.. more comfy.."
"Bed..?" Suguru mumbled softly. "Yes, good idea..." he added, but made no move to get up.
Hiro groaned softly at him and lazily shuffled him off of his lap before pulling him up to drag him to bed a few feet away. he was losing his motor skills... quite quickly now that the alcohol had ample chance to work its way through his body "You can be.. a pain in the ass..."
"Mmh," Suguru replied, mostly asleep by this point.
he smiled at his new roommate and shrugged, leaving him there while he sat further up on the bed enjoying a cigarette and looking out the window. It wasn't quite sex but... the cigarette felt good anyway
Managing to work his way up to lay properly on the bed, Suguru moved to the edge to give the other plenty of room, which effectively used the remainder of his energy. Reaching out a hand tentatively, he grabbed a hold of some extra material on the other's shirt and was almost immediately fast asleep.
Hiro smiled sleepily over at Suguru as he grabbed his shirt. Sure, it wasn't a big bed but... it was comfortable enough for two people. He crushed out his cigarette on the ashtray he left on his headboard and snuggled down in the nice comfortable bed to finally pass out as he probably should have done an hour ago.
