I think it's really funny how, in public, everyone starts arguments with the traditional types of alphas about their beliefs but when you can be anonymous, everyone's all over their dicks.

It is very curious.

I think it speaks to how deeply ingrained these beliefs are, even among us who are progressive and wish to see a more equal and safe society for all ranks, and all those who do not conform to their ranks. It speaks to how much unlearning we all still have to do. But it will take time to negotiate with the ways in which we have been nurtured to worship Alphas, and to want them, even when we know better than to condone their behavior.

	I think it just proves that a lot of people hide how they really feel because they're afraid of not seeking progressive enough. Omegas want to look all modern and independent for everybody else but then when it comes down to it they really just want a big strong alpha to hold them down and screw them senseless. I would be disappointed if that were true, and people are just performing progressiveness instead of actually feeling it. But one can also be progressive and want equality, and want a strong alpha to hold you down and pin you. So long as that holding down and pinning is consensual and safe, and that you have equality in all other aspects of the relationship. I don't believe that you have to give up your natural instincts to be progressive, as long as we can all agree that aggression, intolerance, and hatred is not acceptable.

	I agree with like half of that. I think we aren't equal, and that's a good thing. Alphas can't do some of the things we can do, and we can't do some of the things they can do. And that's how it's supposed to be. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	There are definite physiological differences, I suppose what I meant is that we should be striving for a world of institutional equality. Where omegas aren't dismissed by institutions meant to protect them, and where abuses committed by Alphas aren't tolerated as the natural order. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
