Puck hovered anxiously over Amelia and Brianna for a long, painful moment. All of the heroes he had - most of them fictional, taken from his favorite tv shows and movies - never hesitated in these kinds of situations. They always knew what to do right from the get go, whether the right thing was staying with their unconscious friend or going to find their legitimately better half and their more-a-sister-than-a-cousin... Brianna had said to go, and after a few moments of wrenching indecision, that was what Puck did.
"I'll be back," he promised Brianna. "Don't go anywhere." Not that she'd be able to go very far with Amelia, but he had to say it anyway. His hand brushed over her shoulder, and there was none of the teasing energy that had been behind every touch they'd shared since reuniting. Puck knew about her stupid boyfriend and resented the tethers he could put on their relationship even from a distance, but now wasn't a time for that. Now was a time for coming together and doing everything you could for the people you loved.
One squeeze of the shoulder later, and Puck turned back toward the plane. He hadn't gone especially far with Amelia, but the place he'd chosen was more-or-less out of the foot traffic, dry, and not near any wreckage or thrown baggage. Something that sounded like his name made Puck turn his head, but like in the crush on the plane he couldn't process all of the information coming at him. There were too many people, too many screams and cries, too much noise!
"Tania," Puck whispered under his breath. Then he started jogging back toward the plane, gathering as much of his courage as he could find; there was only one thing in the world that would make him get back on that death trap, but he had to find his twin sister. His heart beat faster the closer he came to his destination, driven by fear and adrenaline. But that was all that was driving Puck, too, when he opened his mouth to shout: "TANIA!! EDEN! JENSEN! TANIA!!!"
The crowd was going the wrong way. The closer he got to the plane, the harder it became to move forward, and Puck shoved more than one person out of his way in his struggle to find his sister.
