WHO: Penelope & Charlie WHEN: (Foredated) to Thursday around 7pm WHERE: Penny's flat & a restaurant WHAT: A date!
Penelope had used her impending date with Charlie as an excuse to pamper herself for a day. Her feet and hands hadn't felt this smooth in ages: tromping about the world in hiking boots wasn't the most conducive to having perfect feet. Her nails had been painted a vibrant blood red to match the dress she'd chosen for tonight. Contrary to what he might think, she'd asked his favorite colour for a reason. She was wearing a shiny red satin dress that came to just above her knees; the low-cut neck was sexy without being trampy and the back was flattering. After a brief debate, she'd decided to go ahead and wear some two-and-a-half inch strappy heels in a metallic silver. If he didn't approve, a quick change could always be made. The height issue didn't make sense in her mind, but she was used to it being brought up by men.
She wasn't one for much makeup, but had taken care to apply mascara and a bit of shimmery stuff to her eyelids; that was all she trusted herself to handle. Her hair had been left loose, straight and shiny - she wasn't any good at anything besides the basics. Note to self: brush up on makeup and hair techniques.
Glancing at the clock, Penelope grabbed a small leather clutch from the counter, stepped outside her flat and disappeared immediately. A moment later, she was knocking on the door to Charlie's flat, excitement building in her chest.
