Lunchtime was always Su's favorite, especially when it came in the wake of an especially hectic morning. Having already had enough trouble falling alseep the night before, she had felt her mood waning by eleven o'clock, and the prospect of lunch not coming for at least another hour or two had not imporved it. But the time had finally come, and Su had packed a good lunch that morning, anticipating a long day. The only problem, now, was finding an unoccupied table. This quickly proved a trying task and Su reevaluated her plan to dine alone. Option B: Find someone she knew and, if she was lucky, liked. Almost on cue, she spied a familiar face and made her way over.
"Someone looks lonely," Su commented as she drew up to Penelope's table. That scone looked tempting. "Mind if I join? I find eating more enjoyable when I can talk over it."
