Harry came in, shaking an umbrella out on the front porch before hanging it near the door inside. He didn't always think to use magic for simple things like drying off an umbrella. He would defend himself saying it was good he hadn't become dependent. Really there was just too much muggle in him to ever think of magic as a first solution for the little things.
