Seamus was circulating about the party, carrying a champagne bottle that never seemed to empty, with champagne glasses. He felt it his mission at that moment to make sure all had a drink in hand. The ceremony, while brief, was what he would have wanted for himself; nothing too fancy when vows were swapped and a great party afterwards. He wasn't planning on getting married at that moment, but he knew it would be a different kind of affair, as his family would never let him get away with just something simple. He was the only child, the only son, and the family was mostly Muggle.
He stopped at a few tables, setting down champagne glasses and filling them until he had no more on his tray. With the bottle in hand, he moved past a table where one Daphne Greengrass was sitting, quite alone. Seamus paused, "Can I top your glass off for you?" he asked politely; he'd read the article and knew that she was dating Percy. It was obviously not some rumor as she was here, at a Weasley wedding. He stepped closer and careful poured out more bubbly stuff into her glass before she could refuse, "It was a nice ceremony. They finally did it," he said, making an effort to make polite conversation.
Seamus had never really spoken much with Daphne while in school. Except for maybe a snide remark or glare, most of the Slytherin girls did not talk with Seamus, which was just as well. He had a general distrust for those Pure-blood types anyhow, something that was being challenged with his current arrangement with Gregory Goyle. The man was actually working out pretty well, as an employee of the bar. And Seamus reasoned, if Percy Weasley found something redeemable in this girl, maybe he should not be too judgmental. Seamus also was thinking of his mystery girl and the journal chat he had had with this woman.
He didn't want to bring it up right away but he was itching to ask her if she had thought of any other possible matches, "So....we chatted the other day about a woman," he started, pausing as he wasn't sure how to proceed, "Any other ideas?" he asked, his tone clearly hopeful
