With the color fading, Ron had accepted her hands, and then led her into the crowd of people, thanking them for coming. His mum had a huge hug for him, and while she was blubbering a bit, she boasted about how dear the two looked, and how she always knew they'd be married. Ron guffawed a bit, and led Hermione towards a table, with Seamus moving towards them, a bottle of champagne and glasses in hand. Seamus poured them out, and then excused himself, giving Ron only a brief moment of solitude in a crowd for he and his new wife.
"You really look amazing, Hermione. That dress is...perfect," he said, as he handed her a glass of champagne, his eyes on her alone.
"To my new wife," he said, raising his voice slightly in a toast. The words were echoed and even as he sipped at his champagne, he heard the clinking of cutlery on glass, and his eyebrows came together slightly, "Why are they doing that?" he asked her in a low voice?
