Alright girls (and boys), the time for envy has come.
Puddlemere United's Captain and Keeper, Oliver Wood, was spotted last Tuesday on an outing with Ministry worker Percy Weasley, Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. The well known duo were still sporting their bright blue locks as the result of a lost bet. Wood announced to the press after United's defeat of the Chudley Cannons on Saturday, 1 May 2004, "It was a Mickey. We both lost. Wont be the last time, either." He was unwilling to comment upon the nature of the bet.
What is there to be jealous of blue hair, you may ask? Apparently a whole lot. Dyed blue, Wood and Weasley were accompanied by two stunning women, identified as Verity Ashford, daughter of Balleycastle Bats' Nash Ashford and world-famous singer Celestina Warbeck, and Daphne Greengrass, daughter of convicted Death Eater, Emerson Greengrass. The couples were out dancing until the wee hours after a reportedly romantic double date dinner. An eye witness told Witch Weekly that Wood and Ashford left separately from Weasley and Greengrass, looking quite smitten, "They were all over one another. Couldn't take their eyes off each other. You could tell they were really enjoying being in the other's arms.'
Could it be that after all these years Wood has finally succumbed to the wiles of a woman? The long-standing bachelor, well-known for avoiding topics surrounding his personal life, didn't seem to have any problems getting down with his date on the dance floor. It is also reported that all four were also in attendance at both Puddlemere's match last Saturday and the May Day celebration Wood hosted at his estate in Glasgow. Could love be just around the corner for either of these intriguing couples?
More importantly, Witch Weekly wants to know if we have to cross Wood off our Most Eligible Bachelor's list this year. We knew this day would come eventually, but he's just too much fun to look at!
Either way, we can't tell who's luckier - the men or the women - two potential power couples to keep your lids peeled for. Personally, I'm jealous of them both.
