The scent of Italian cooking filled Daphne's apartment, compliments of her mother's house-elf, whom Daphne had borrowed for the day, to clean her flat (not that it was messy to begin with--Daphne was a very tidy person) and prepare dinner for when Percy came over. Daphne would have cooked for him herself, had it not been highly likely that she would have ended up sending him to the hospital. Growing up wealthy, and it having been assumed that she would have married an even wealthier man with his own elf by this point, Daphne never learned. She could make basic things like toast and sandwiches, of course, but beyond that she was absolutely abysmal. She didn't even own a frying pan--the elf brought some from the Greengrass estate.
Daphne made sure that she was looking perfectly lovely this evening, though quite casual compared to how she usually dressed. She wore a light, yellow v-neck long-sleeved shirt, paired with a tight, knee-length skirt. The shirt showed just the right amount of cleavage, and it was just small enough to expose a thing strip of her abdomen, between the hem and the top of her skirt. Daphne decided to choose a softer look when she saw Percy, ever since their Sunday morning in Barcelona. She wanted to appear romantic.
She was outside on the balcony, setting up the table (she may not have been able to cook worth a damn, but she was a proper lady and knew how to set a perfect table) when she heard the knock at the door. Daphne rushed inside just as she saw the elf moving toward the door. She had Muggles living in her building, and fearing that one may have been in the hallway when the door opened, Daphne ran to get to the door first. She managed it, but when her door was opened and she was smiling at Percy, the elf was behind her, and her big ears were peaking out behind Daphne's legs.
