"You don't want to marry him?" Hermione asked, sounding a little surprised. There were a lot of reasons to marry, not just out of love and passion. There were legal reasons, too. For one, the law would consider Harry the father of Ginny's baby right off the bat if they were married. Without being married and having a child together might mean hoops the two would have to jump through to prove paternity. For another, there were tax write-offs to be considered. Not that either of them could ever want for money, but it was a financially smart decision. These were all the things she was considering herself, pending her upcoming nuptials.
She gave a little nod. "December. So he'll be around for Christmas. That's going to make this Christmas even more memorable."
