Hermione would hate to 'rain on their parade' or 'steal their thunder'. She was already formulating how she wanted to tell Ron that they should wait on telling the family about their engagement until the news of Ginny and Harry's pregnancy died down a little. She pulled out of the hug and grinned at her friend.
"I think I know what you mean." If Hermione was completely honest with herself, she'd probably feel the same way. Ginny was well off financially, Harry was a supportive and loving partner, and they both would make fantastic parents. Hermione was so very happy for them. And if it was her (which it wouldn't be due to her desire to wait) she'd probably feel the same way. She was in a good job, Ron had a good job, and they had a lot of family and friend support.
At the same time, Hermione was glad it wasn't her going through it first. Pregnancy and childbirth were rather intimidating and Hermione didn't know much about them at all. She could observe and learn from Ginny's experience. "How far along are you?"
