There was a moment of silence before anything happened which seemed to have the opposite effect on Ginny. Silence rarely meant anything positive was going to happen in her family, it meant that each of them were quickly sifting through emotions to come up with the most explosive one they could muster.
And for whatever reason? Ginny had thought Percy would be the most opposed, followed closely by Charlie and perhaps Ron. But it appeared she had underestimated him, the smile and tone of his voice enough to tell Ginny that Percy's reaction was genuine. He had always been a terrible liar.
"Thanks Percy!" she replied with a smile, relieved that at least one brother was on her side. That would help, even if Percy's strong suit tended to be in logic and books rather than defensive spells and brute strength.
It was entirely possible Ginny was going to need some of that to defend Harry from the masses. Although in the same vein? If she had known Percy was practically assuming a marriage was to follow he might have needed protection from her. A baby didn't mean she was going to find a white dress and throw a party.
