Who: Kherrington and OTA When: Tuesday morning Where: Gringott's What: Paperwork
Kherrington spent the entire weekend crying or sleeping. She woke up on Monday morning incredibly hungry and thirsty, and her brother made her some breakfast. He'd come over on Saturday night after Kherrie spent the day with Damocles and Amanda at the Hospital. She'd only met Amanda on a couple of occasions, but knew Damocles professionally. The three got along rather well, especially since Damocles and Amanda had known for years how Marcus felt about Kherrington. They were incredibly happy for the couple that they were so happy--and when Kherrington told them about the ring and moving in together, it was all the Belby's needed to know to consider her a part of the family. Somehow, Kherrington kept her cool while she was with them. It wasn't until she arrived home that she fell apart.
Yesterday, Kherrington, Ronnie (her older brother) and the Belbys spent the day in Marcus' apartment sorting through his things. They made arrangements for a memorial service the following weekend, and started on shuffling through the paperwork in his apartment. Kherrie was looking for a will, or some sort of document saying what his wishes were. And her name was on the lease now, so she had to figure out what she was going to do with his apartment. Or her own. Where would she live?
This morning Kherrington was with Damocles at the bank, going to empty and close out his bank account. Either that or put it into a trust, but Kherrie didn't really understand all of those details. As Damocles was talking to the Goblin behind the desk, Kherrie turned her gaunt, pale, blank face around to look at the rest of the customers in the bank. How did the world keep turning like this? Didn't they know that Marcus Belby was dead? Didn't they know that everything was supposed to have stopped? Her heart was shattered, and there was nothing anyone could do.
