There were deaths, but names had been withheld until relatives were notified, and so Percy hadn't known about Marcus. Though he didn't know him personally, he'd seen his writing on the journals. "He recently confessed to being a werewolf, didn't he?" Percy muttered, struck by the sadness of hearing about the death of somebody, though he wasn't as attached, since he hardly knew the man.
Penny's reaction, however, was much more heart-wrenching. He quickly looked to the door, this time wishing and hoping Charlie would come through and comfort her the way he wanted to, but now didn't have that privilege. Scowling, frustrated, torn between what to do, he moved closer to Penny's side and sat down, leaning slightly forward and put his hand upon hers.
"You did everything you could to stop the monster. You did more than most. It's going to be alright."
