One of the large, sharp eyes on the best darted to follow Marcus' movement. A clubbed foot smashed in through the window. Glass rained over his back and head. Before he could reach for his wand and whip around the jaws were already bearing down on him. The Hairy MacBoon snatched Marcus' foot and spun, whipping him head first into the marble wall of the jewelry store.
There was a terrible crack and his body hung limp. The beast bit down, crunching the bones in his leg. It had a taste for blood but its attention was caught by something else moving fast in the street and it dropped Marcus. He tasted funny anyway. Not entirely human.
