Despite Charlie's assurances that everything would be totally fine, she exited the bathroom feeling horrified, sure that everyone in the room was staring at her. She would never actually know if everyone was staring because Penny was looking determinedly at the ground, her hand clutching Charlie's tighter than was necessary.
Not looking up almost caused her to run into Harry as he strode in the direction they'd just come from. He hadn't even been in the room when she left..had more people turned up now? Cursing whomsoever had spiked the cakes, Penelope followed Charlie's lead, only slightly behind him. He was far more confident than she was after..that. She hazarded a glance around the room. There were looks. And other people pointedly not looking. Great. "This isn't so bad," Penny said quietly, more to convince herself it was true than for Charlie's benefit.
