Thread: Anthony and Terry
WHO: Anthony and Terry WHERE: Terry's Flat WHEN: Backdated to Mar 20 WHAT: Catching up RATING: ?? NOTE: Began as log, continued in thread
Terry had only been back in England for three days, and already he was going stir-crazy. It wasn't that he enjoy having a chance to relax in his flat and catch up with everything he'd missed with his crazy schedule. He did. He just liked it less when it was forced, rather than something he chose to do. And with his gimp leg and inability to do much without getting exhausted, this was definitely a forced shut-in.
Fortunately, Anthony was coming to visit, which was bound to be enjoyable. Terry couldn't exactly correspond with his friends during his missions, so he was looking forward to catching up with one of his best friends. If only Michael were available as well, that would make it perfect.
While Terry was away, Anthony had been given the key to Terry's apartment and the password to the wards that kept the place secure - this was so Anthony could take care of the place while Terry was away, sometimes for long stretches of time. Because he could, and because Terry knew he was coming anyway, Anthony simply let himself in without particularly announcing himself until he was through the door and hoisting a six pack of beer.
"Welcome home!" he said, in a celebratory mood, then continued speaking like his grandmother would, as a child, complete with Yiddish accent. "Just look at you! You've grown so much since I last saw you! Such a nice young man!"
In a shot, Terry had his hand on his wand, ready to fire off a curse. Only when he realized who it was did he release a breath and slowly release his grip on it. "Christ, how about knocking first...grandma?"
He was starting to smile as he spoke, though, because aside from that near-heart attack he'd just had, he was glad to see his friend.
"Whoooa!' Anthony froze and rose both arms in the air when he saw the wand leveled at him, but was relieved that he hadn't been cursed. "I come in peace!" He lowered his arms and walked over to set the beers down on the table. "Work's got you that antsy? Clearly, you need to unwind, and I've got just the medicine." With that, he selected a bottle from the pack, twisted off the cap and handed it to Terry, repeating the motion a second time for himself.
"Work's got me in this state, so yeah, I'm a little antsy," Terry muttered as he tucked his wand away. When Anthony offered him the beer, he made a frustrated grimace and waved it away. "Can't drink right now; the healers have me on a potion that reacts badly with alcohol. But leave the rest - once I'm off 'em, we'll really celebrate."
