"It's an emotional topic. I don't think an emotional display would have been out of place." She wasn't sure what Percy had meant by an 'emotional display.' A display of anger? It wasn't really a topic that necessitated anger. Maybe he meant they'd have just dissolved into tears and ended up hugging and snogging like crazy. It was one of those two. "And yes, tipsy is the word for it. However, it was a physical, rather than mental, thing. Maybe I couldn't walk straight but my faculties were still there."
Penelope hated this talk already. She'd been hoping for some sort of emotion to at least present itself briefly. A sniffle would have sufficed. Anything to let her know she hadn't been acting on one-sided, unreturned feelings. She'd made a decision already, so it didn't matter too much, but it would have been nice.
"At least he didn't try and start a fight with you. I was worried about that." Penny didn't add 'because you would have joined Ginny in the hospital,' as she thought it might be a bit emasculating. "I think that I have. If not, I suppose I'll be working hard to resist the urge to jump you in the office," she said, laughingly. In truth, Penelope had listed pros and cons of each brother and Charlie had come out the victor; a list didn't quash feelings by itself, however.
