WHAT: The Quidditch League annual party!
The British Quidditch League had transformed the atrium completely in the three hours allotted from the time most of the Ministry shut down until 8pm when guests began to arrive.
A large stage had replaced the statue and fountain that normally stood in the middle of the atrium, holding the set up for a band who would play later in the night. The space immediately in front of the stage was open for anyone who wanted to dance while round tables took up to space beyond, stretching towards the lifts at the far end of the atrium.
An open bar stood off to the side, manned by multiple bartenders who were dressed in formal robes. Quidditch banners for each team in the league were draped across the ceiling, and each teams tables were indicated by a runner stretching across the white tableclothes in their team colours.
