Rose knew that it was likely that no one wanted to hear some of her concert pieces from Bach or Mozart, so she ran her fingers over the keys, recalling an old Irish ballad that she'd learned as a child. It was a mid-tempo ballad, nothing to depress the crowd, but told a story of love - what else might an Irish ballad speak of.
Finishing the song, Rose smiled when she heard a few people clapping, turning their attention toward her. "I haven't played in front of a crowd in a long time," she admitted.
