Verity wasn't going to let anything stop her from paying respects to one of her dearest friends. Not hell or high water, not wrath of Oliver, not sickness or misery. Nothing. It was Fred and George's birthday, and the two blokes were closer than brothers to her (well, that wasn't really fair to her brother...) and this was one of those times that she needed to be with them.
After letting Margaret know where she was going, leaving notes for Oliver and Daphne, Verity apparated to the spot where she was set to meet George. Her wand was held high. When she saw him, though, she lowered it slightly.
