Verity was still clinging to the blanket around her shoulders, and barely noticed Daphne come into the room. She was thankful when she heard the word 'clothes', though. She wanted some more than she wanted anything else--except for perhaps the death of Eddie Carmichael.
Verity's attention turned from her husband to her Mother-In-Law, and she turned to wrap an arm around Margaret. "Thank you," she whispered, hugging tightly to Margaret. She didn't want Oliver to have to see this. She didn't want him to have to deal with what she'd been through. Not yet. Not now.
