Daphne didn't say anything, and instead went over to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper and a quill. She wrote a very hasty letter to George Weasley, and then sent it off with an owl.
Once that task was completed, Daphne went back over to where Oliver was. She wasn't sure what she could say to him, so instead of speaking she put her hand comfortingly on his shoulder. Daphne was very, very worried about Verity, but she knew that how she felt was nothing compared to how Oliver must be feeling at that moment.
Her silence didn't last for long however.
"If someone hurt her, I'm going to hunt them down and beat them to death with a Beater's Bat," Daphne told him bluntly. She felt she could speak freely in front of him, since she had a very good feeling that Oliver wouldn't disapprove of that.
