WHO: Harry Potter and Ginny Potter WHEN: February 17. WHERE: Their house RATING: TBA STATUS: Incomplete SUMMARY: Post-Valentine's day celebrating of Valentine's Day.
Generally speaking, Ginny hated Valentine's Day. She didn't like to think of herself as cynical, but the term applied in this situation. It was only an excuse to allow people to express themselves one day a year and call it romantic rather than actively appreciating their relationships throughout the year. Beyond that, people tended to forget about relationships other than romantic ones.
In a way she was grateful for the potion that had distracted Harry. It had given them both the chance to spend the entire night with James and dote on him endlessly, she had bought him a tiny little seeker's uniform and a dragon shaped teether for the upcoming months when they would need it. Being so small, James ability to enjoy it was limited but she had been pleased with the outcome of the night once she put him to bed.
But now that the love potion, and Harry's temporary attraction to Verity, had worn off Ginny was putting her focus towards him. She knew that he felt guilty about the entire thing, and the gesture she was making was really just an attempt to make him understand she didn't care about missing it.
George had agreed to watch James for them, and that had been all she needed to get to work.
It had all been planned carefully, a note tied to Harry's broom was resting against the stair railing instructing him to come down to the pitch. Ginny had purchased the tent months before, thinking that eventually they would be inspired to take James and Teddy camping when the weather was warmer, and she had spent the larger part of the past couple of days charming the thing so that it had all the comforts of their master suite. Of course it wasn't an exact replica, but it was close enough that she was immensely pleased with herself and was waiting eagerly in front of the tent for Harry to show up.
She wasn't one for celebrating it either, at least not with the conventional candles, chocolates, and roses.
